• The Fulton Spare Tire Carrier, part # FETCSTL0701, has an inside measurement of 3-1/8 inches at the narrowest point of the U-bolt. It is designed for 3-inch channel trailer frames. If used on a 2-inch trailer frame, the spare tire could move on the frame from the extra play between the U-bolt and the trailer frame, even after the spare tire is tightened down. • The bracket for the Fulton spare tire carrier and lock, # FETCSTL0701, can be bent to fit. There is no specific tool that you have to use so basically any way you can apply controlled force will work. A bench vise, c-clamp, or similar device should do the trick if you cannot bend it enough by hand.
