Today on our Road Master Trailer, well be installing the Dutton-Lainson Spare Tire Carrier, part number DL22120. This will be in conjunction with our new spare tire, part number AM32395. First, well take our spare tire carrier bracket and find the position on the frame where were going to mount it. Next, well take the bolts and brackets and get them set up to the top mount. On the back side for our attachment will be a lock washer and nut. Once we get them set to the frame, well go ahead and insert the bottom bolts and fasteners.
Ill go ahead and tighten them down finger tight to get them in position. Once we have them lined up and secured, well go ahead and tighten them down. Now with our bracket tightened down, its secured to the frame of the trailer. Next, we need to go ahead and install the carriage bolts that will secure the spare tire. To do this, well put the carriage bolt to the back side of the spare tire carrier and the insert the serrated washer.
The serrated washer will hold the carriage bolt in place. Next, before we put on the bottom carriage bolt, well slide our spare tire on to see which two lower options well be using for this spare tire. As you can see with this bolt pattern, it lines up with the offset hole. Lets go ahead and set the spare tire side and insert the lower carriage bolt into the offset hole and then well install the serrated washer. Now with both carriage bolts in place, well go ahead and set our spare tire back into position.
To secure it, well first install the flat washer then a lock washer and nut. Once we have them both in place, we can go ahead and tighten it down. With that, it will complete our install of the Dutton-Lainson Spare Tire Carrier, part number DL22120 along with our spare tire, part number AM32395.

Bracket seems to work well with provided hardware. Made in the USA, which was important to me. A few burrs in the holes which required filing for the shoulder bolts to fit completely on the unthreaded portion, but basically it fit my application just fine.77712

Sturdy mount, was of heavy construction and well zinc -plated. Fit was just as advertised. Tire studs were long enough to accommodate the aluminium trailer wheel. Fast shipping, excellent service in every way from E-Trailer. THANK You!77409

I bought 2 wheels and 3 tires to replace some old tires on my double PWC trailer. Put both new wheels on yesterday and mounted the extra on an old wheel for a spare. Mounted this to the trailer using spare tire carrier and everything worked out great. The tires and wheels look great and the spare mounted without any problems to the trailer.57804

It took me maybe 10 minutes to install this product. And it works great. It gives me about 8 inches of ground clearance on my wishbone framed trailer.50307

I have a 26 foot boat with a tandem axle trailer. I must travel quite a bit to reach the ocean. Having two spare tires gives piece of mind. I have the exact product on the starboard side of the trailer and have now installed another spare tire on the port side of the trailer. Most trailer frames are either 3" or 4" tall however, the DMH trailer frame is 5" tall and this product fits perfect. One suggestion that I would make is that all hardware (bolts, nuts, washers, etc.) be stainless steel. I noticed that the older bracket hardware is showing signes of rust from salt air exposure. Shipping was very good and I would purchase from this vendor again.44898

Very impressed with how easy it was to find what I needed. I purchased this product to use on my galvanized boat trailer to hold my spare tire. This seems to be a very sturdy corrosion resistant mount and locks on to the trailer frame very easily....total install time was less than 10 minutes. The only issue I have with this mount is that the bolts that hold the tire on are not the same size as the lugs on the trailer tire. However, I would definitely recommend this product as a quality spare tire carrier.21898

Great fit on the trailer, great price and simple installation. I do have a complaint in regards to fit fitment though. Due to width of my 205/65-10 tires, I had to fab a small spacer to keep from contacting the bracket. I also had to bore out the center security hole to use a standard wire cable lock as it was only originally big enough for a very small wire lock. Despite the modifications I had to make, I'm still satisfied with the purchase! Please be aware that modifying products can affect warranties and may create safety issues. I am a professional, please consult a professional before making modifications. 12629

Great spare tire mount for boat trailer I have a late model Tahoe Q4 Fish & Ski combo boat, and the trailer came without a spare tire. After locating a spare, I needed a way to mount it and found this bracket on the etrailer.com site. Shipping was prompt and the product mounted quickly and easily to the trailer frame rail without interfering with the side of the boat. Seems quite sturdy and durable. Made in the USA, too! 3816
