Today we are going to show you the TruRyde Electric Brake Assembly for 10 right hand side, part number TRBK10E02. This is a 10 by 2-1/4 brake assembly, we will measure the diameter across the shoe, and we will get 10, and then we will measure the width of the shoe, and thats where we get our 2-1/4. When paired up with the left hand side assembly these brakes are good for 3,500 pound axels. The assembly uses a 4 bolt flange mount pattern, so you need to check your axel and make sure you have the proper pattern. There are a pair of wire leads and it doesnt matter which you use for your ground connection, or your power connection, just make sure you have a good solid electrical connection. These are manual adjust brake assemblies, so over time as the shoes wear, youll need to make sure you tighten up the system properly.
To do this you will take the star wheel to open or close the shoes and get the proper tension set. We know that this is a right hand side assembly because you will put the shorter shoe towards the front of the trailer, and the longer shoe towards the rear. The way the brake assembly works is when you apply brakes in the tow vehicle, the electric magnet will charge and adhere to the surface of the drum on the inside. As the drum spins around while the wheel is rotating, the drag will pull this lever, and open up the brake assembly applying brakes to the drum, and slowing down the trailer. This assembly is covered by a limited 1 year warranty.

Exactly as it should be. No issues. Lower cost replacement for Dexter original, works perfectly. Studs are 7/16-20. The studs were slightly loose in the axle flange that they were installed in, so make sure to install drum with bearings and adjust shoes up tight BEFORE tightening the backing plate nuts. This will make sure that the brakes are centered in the drum.61452
