Today we are going to show you the TruRyde Electric Brake Assembly particularly for left hand side, part number TRBK10E01. This is a 10 by 2-1/4 brake assembly. Well measure the diameter across the shoes, and thats where we get our 10, and then we will measure the width of the shoe ant theres our 2-1/4. This assembly utilizes a four bolt flange mount pattern, so you will need to double check your axel and make sure what pattern you have. There are a pair of wire leads, and it doesnt matter which you use for the brake feed and the ground. Either one is fine just make sure you have a good strong electrical connection.
When paired up with the right hand assembly these axels are good up to 3,500 pounds. This is a manual adjust assembly which means that over time the shoes will wear, and you will need to adjust the tension to make sure you have adequate braking power. To do this, you will rotate the star wheel to open and close the shoes as needed. The way the brake assembly works is as you apply brake pressure in your tow vehicle, the magnet will charge and adhere to the drum that is rotating around. As the magnet drags against the surface of the drum it will pull this arm and open up the brakes and apply brake pressure slowing down your trailer.
The brakes are covered by a limited one year warranty, we know that this is the left hand side, because we always put the short shoe towards the front, and the long shoe towards the rear of the trailer. And that does it for the TruRyde Electric Brake Assembly particularly for left hand side, part number TRBK10E01.

Exactly as it should be. No issues. Lower cost replacement for Dexter original, works perfectly. Studs are 7/16-20. The studs were slightly loose in the axle flange that they were installed in, so make sure to install drum with bearings and adjust shoes up tight BEFORE tightening the backing plate nuts. This will make sure that the brakes are centered in the drum.61451
