  • Determining the Correct Hub Drum and Brake Assembly for an 18ft Performance Trailer
  • To order a complete trailer brake setup for your Performance 18 trailer, you will need to find out a couple of things about the trailer first. You have 3500 pound axles, but you will need to know the bolt circle pattern for the trailer wheels, and you will need to know the bearing part numbers, both inner and outer, to find the proper hub and drum for your trailer. If you want brakes on one axle, you will need 2 hub drums and if you have two axles and want brakes on both axles you will need

  • What Is The Distance Between Mounting Bolts On Dexter 7 Inch Brake Assembly # 23-48
  • I walked out to our warehouse and measured the mounting bolts on the 7 Inch Electric Brake Assembly, part # 23-48. From center of bolt to center of bolt, I measured approximately 2-3/4 inches. The 7 Inch Electric Brake Assembly, part # 23-48, is for 2,000 lb axles. For the left hand brake assembly, you will need part # 23-47. I took a picture of part # 24-48 and used Photoshop to illustrate the measurements that I took.

  • Parts Needed for Installation of Electric Brakes on a Coleman Pop-Up Camper With 8 Inch Wheels
  • The 8 inch diameter wheel on your Coleman Fleetwood pop-up camper is not large enough to accept an electric brake hub and drum assembly. Seven inch brake assemblies like # 23-48 that you selected work with the Trailer Hub & Drum Assembly, item # 8-257-5UC3, which will fit in wheels starting at 10 inches in diameter. You would need to upgrade your wheels and tires to either a 5.30-12 load range c wheel and tire combination, or a 205/65-10 load range c wheel and tire to meet the capacity requi

  • Replacement Parts for Electric Brakes on a 1992 Coleman Fleetwood Trailer
  • If by solenoid you are referring to the brake magnets, then yes, we do offer replacement brake magnets depending on the size brakes that you have on your 1992 Coleman Fleetwood. I did some research on your trailer and it looks like you should have 7 inch Dexter brakes, so you could use the Trailer Brake Magnet Kit, # BP01-068. If you were interested in replacing your entire brake assemblies, then I would recommend taking a look at your current brakes to check if there is anything else that l

  • Adding a Trailer Brake Controller to a 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan
  • In order for a trailer brake controller to work you will need to have a 7-Way connector on the vehicle and trailer. It sounds like the Van already has a 4-Way so you will just need a 4 and 7-Way installation kit # ETBC7. This will provide the wiring and another parts needed to install a 7-Way and wire in the brake controller. I have included links that explain the installation. For the trailer side you can use # H20046. I have included links to a couple of videos that will explain the install
