Haven't used it yet but looks to be easy to hook up and is a solid piece of equipment. Will be replacing the MH connector with the supplied 4 pin connector.75135

Expert Answers about Roadmaster Deluxe Magnetic Tow Lights - 4-Pole Round Connectors - RM-2100 Do you have a question about this Tow Bar Wiring?

  • Compatibility of Magentic Towing Light that has a 4-Round Plug and RV that has 6-Round Trailer Plug
  • Since the 119176KIT (installation details linked below) gets the power for the lights directly for the vehicle battery, it does not require any power from the vehicle wiring. It only receives the signals from the vehicle wiring. However, the 119176KIT has a 4-Way flat style connector. The Roadmaster Deluxe Magnetic Tow Lights, # RM-2100, that you have referenced, uses a 4-Round type connector that is not compatible with a 4-Flat. There is no easy way to adapt the two to work together. The eas

  • Tow Bar Recommendation to Flat Tow a 2011 GMC Terrain with a Roadmaster Sterling Tow Bar
  • The EZ style base plates you have ordered are compatible with the Roadmaster Sterling Tow Bar, # RM-576, and nothing else is required to aid in ease of installation or removal. The tow bar comes with safety cables and a 6-pole connector. Both the towing and towed vehicles will need a RoadMaster 6-Wire Trailer Connector - Vehicle End, # RM-910030-7. Finally, you will need to check with the manufacturer for instructions on the proper procedure for towing your vehicle because some vehicles must

  • Can I Replace the Four Way Round Connector on My Roadmaster Magnetic Tow Lights, # RM-2100
  • Yes, you can re-wire the Roadmaster Deluxe Magnetic Tow Lights, part # RM-2100, to a different connector so it will connect to your motorhome. Most likely the 4 wires will be the standard colors and will wire up color to color. These colors are: Green, Right turn Yellow, Left turn White, Ground Brown, Tail/Marker Typically, the connector is wired in this way: The green wire will be on the top left, the yellow wire will be on the top right, the brown will be on the bottom left, and th

  • How is Roadmaster Deluxe Magnetic Tow Lights, # RM-2100 Wired and DOes it Require a Converter
  • A converter box or an adapter is not needed as long as the towing vehicle has a 4-Way round trailer connector for the connector on the Roadmaster Deluxe Magnetic Tow Lights, # RM-2100. The Roadmaster connector does not come pre-wired so you would be able to wire it to match the tow vehicle side connector. All of the components are there including the wiring and the connector, nothing additional would need to be added to wire the harness into the connector. If the truck has a 4-Way flat connec

  • Parts Needed to Flat Tow a 2011 GMC Terrain FWD Behind A Motor Home
  • The 2011 GMC Terrain FWD can be flat towed behind your motorhome if you have the six speed automatic transmission. Also, you are correct, the Discrete Logic Ignition Switch fuse (fuse #32) needs to be removed from the instrument panel fuse box. The instrument panel fuse box is located on the passenger side of the center console, behind a cover. That fuse needs to be removed to keep the battery from being drained when towing. With that done you should be able to flat tow your Terrain with no prob

  • How Long are the Cables and Wiring for the Roadmaster Deluxe Tow Light Kit
  • I spoke with my contact at Roadmaster. he indicated that the cables on the Deluxe Magnetic Tow Light Kit, # RM-2100, are 25 feet long. What you can do to get an additional 8 feet with this kit is to use the Hopkins Heavy-Duty Trailer Coiled Extension, # HM47045. However, this kit is not submersible so you would have to remove them from the boat before backing it into the water to launch. You could use a submersible kit, like # TLL9RK. Since you would need an extension either way, you can add

  • Wiring Harness and Light Kits for Flat Towing With a 2004 GMC Sonoma
  • The Roadmaster Deluxe Magnetic Tow Lights, # RM-2100, comes with all of the connectors needed to connect the lights to the towing vehicle. It uses 4-Way round connectors. For a 4-Way to 4-Way Round Kit, use # RM-164. If your are towing the 2003 GMC Sonoma behind another vehicle, I would need to know what connector the truck has at the front and what type of connector the towing vehicle has at the back. If you are using the Sonoma to tow another vehicle, I would need to know what it has on

  • Can the Cables for Roadmaster Deluxe Magnetic Tow Lights be Routed Under the Vehicle
  • As far as routing the cable part of the Roadmaster Deluxe Magnetic Tow Lights, # RM-2100, there is no specific way that you have to route them. Basically, what works best for you is the way you should route the cables. On many vehicles, the weatherstripping on the trunk is thick enough to protect the cable. But, the only way to know for sure is to try it. If you route the cable under the vehicle, be sure to avoid any places that can pinch or burn the cable and use zip ties to hold the cable o

  • Light and Wiring Recommendations for Flat Towing a 2008 Chevrolet Avalanche
  • Because the Chevrolet Avalanche vehicles have so much body trim that is plastic, like on the top of the rear bumper and the top of the bedsides, you would need to use the Deluxe Magnetic Tow Lights, # RM-2100, on the sides of the vehicle near the rear taillights. I believe a better option for your truck is the TrailerMate Tow Bar Wiring for the 2008 Avalanche, # TM780018, which will let you connect your RV signal lights to the Avalanche lighting system. • Wiring Magnetic Tow Lights to a 6-way Round Connector on a RV
  • It sounds to me like your 6-Way connector has been wired for some alternate wiring situation, and that is most likely why the adapter does not work properly with the Magnetic lights. I would use a circuit tester, item #3808 if you need one, and check all of the functions in the 6-Way connector on the RV. Draw a diagram and label each circuit. You will need the stop, turn/brake, tail and ground functions out of the 6-way connector to operate the functions on the 4-way connection of the Magnetic l
