Features:
Wiring Your Towed Car with TowDaddy
This single-block-style diode system (patent pending) ensures that your RV activates your towed car's tail, brake and turn signal lights. The TowDaddy harness wires your towed car (or dinghy) with a 4-way flat connector that plugs into your RV's trailer connector. The harness hardwires into the tail lights on your Nissan Frontier. No need to install multiple diodes.
Enhanced Safety Features of TowDaddy
Increased Visibility
Your Nissan Frontier ordinarily operates on a three-wire system, wherein the brake signal and the turn signals travel along different wires to illuminate different lights. This is referred to as a "separate lighting system." When you hook up for flat towing using the TowDaddy harness, your towed car's lighting system will maintain its separate wiring setup but it will operate in a combined fashion. This means that the brake and turn signals sent by your RV to your towed car will be carried to both the brake and turn signal lights. So when your RV brakes, the brake lights and turn signal lights on your towed car will all illuminate together. And when you activate your RV's turn signal, the turn signal light and brake light on your towed car will flash in tandem. This action boosts your towed car's visibility and therefore your safety on the road. Your Nissan Frontier will still function as designed - with separate lighting - when not hooked up to your RV.
Brake Pedal Monitor Output
With the TowDaddy, you can connect your towed car's wiring directly to the RV's in-cab monitor of your supplemental braking system (sold separately) so that you will always know when your towed car is braking. By attaching the monitor to the brake pedal output on the TowDaddy module, you will be notified when your towed car is actually braking, not just when the supplemental brake system is activated. This is important because portable braking systems are not always properly aligned, and as a result, they can either be applying continuous pressure to your brake pedal or not applying enough pressure to effectively activate the brakes. Knowing when your towed car's brakes are actually being applied will help prevent costly damage to your car and give you a smoother, safer towing experience.
Built-In LEDs

The six LEDs on the weather-resistant control module ensure proper installation and help to troubleshoot any problems if they arise. For example, if the towed car's tail lights are not working when it's hooked up to the RV, you can simply check the LEDs on the control module to see if the problem is due to the wiring that is (a) going into the box from the RV, (b) coming out of the box to the towed car's lights, or (c) located somewhere past the box.
