Works as advertized. Easy install...just make sure you have 2 inches between your exsisting bulb and the kit bulbs. Not enough wire though....I had to go buy a 6' lenght to run from taillight to taillight. Hence the GOOD rating.11557

Neither one of our manufacturers, RoadMaster or Blue Ox, recommend to use the bulb and socket type of lighting when flat towing a 2011 Chevrolet Mailbu LT. Usually it is because of limited space in the taillight housing that does not allow the bulb and socket to fit properly. We go by what the manufacturers recommend, since they have already done a test fit on the vehicle. The RoadMaster Diode Wiring Kit, part # RM-154, or the Blue Ox Wiring Kit, part # BX8848 is recommended for your Malibu.

Bad Ground Connection Prevents Roadmaster Bulb and Socket Kit RM-155 From Working Properly
What you are experiencing is definitely a poor ground connection. For proper operation, keeping a continuous ground connection between the toad and the RV is very important. Make sure that both bulb assemblies are grounded securely to clean bare metal on the vehicle frame.
