Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Today we're going to review part number AM30630. This is the Kenda 4.80-12 bias trailer tire on a 12" Dexstar galvanized wheel. Dimensions on this wheel are 12" in diameter, which when measured would be inside-to-inside that would be 12". It is a 4" wide wheel. The bolt pattern on this wheel is 4 bolts, 4" between the bolts. To measure that we will go from center of 1 bolt hole to the center of the other to show 4", so this is a 4 on 4" bolt pattern.
This wheel has a weight capacity of 1,250 pounds at 90 psi. It uses a wheel bolt size a 1/2"-20. Another critical measurement is the hub pilot hole size, which is the hole that will fit over the hub on your trailer and when measure this it will be 2.8".This wheel has a galvanized corrosion-resistant finish. Now, this tire is a Loadstar, size 4.80-12. This tire has a load range C.
It is a 6 ply rated tire, which means the maximum load capacity on this tire is 990 pounds at 90 psi. The overall diameter, when we measure this tire will be 20-3/4". This tire is a bias tire, which will mean the belts on this tire will go and run the length of the tire, which will mean a little bit firmer ride when compared to a radial tire. This tire/wheel combo will come with a limited 2-year warranty. That should do it for part number AM30630..
