Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Today we're going to review part number AM30620. This is the Kenda 4.80-12 bias trailer tire on a 12" Dexstar white spoke wheel. The dimension on this wheel is 12", which if we measure from the inside-to-inside will be 12". It is a 4" wide wheel. The bolt pattern on this wheel is 4 lugs 4" bolt pattern. The way to measure that bolt pattern is if we go from center of one lug hole directly across to the center of another lug hole, it is 4".
So that will give us a 4 on 4" bolt pattern. The weight capacity on this wheel is 1,250 pounds at 90 psi. This wheel uses a wheel bolt size of 1/2"-20. Another critical measurement is the pilot hole diameter. This is the hole that will go over the hub on your trailer.
When we measure that across would be 2.8". This wheel is a white powder coat finish. Now, we'll move on to the tire. This is a Loadstar, size 4.80-12. This tire is a load range C tire, which means it is a 6 ply rated tire.
This tire has a maximum load capacity of 990 pounds at 90 psi. The overall diameter on this tire will be 20-3/4". This tire is a bias tire, which means the belts on this tire will run the length of the tire, which will give a little bit firmer ride when compared to a radial tire. This tire/wheel combo will come with a limited 2-year warranty. That should do it for part number AM30620..

I have a Harbor Freight folding trailer. I wanted to use it on long hauls to the lake. I knew the original tires and wheels were not meant for a 500 mile round trip with speeds hitting and sustaining 70 to 75 MPH. These tires did the trick! I was so worried about them shredding and falling apart I kept pulling over every 30 minutes or so to feel them and they never got hot/warm/lukewarm. I just received my tire/wheel order and everything is as expected. No muss, no fuss! The trailer is apart for new paint, lights/wiring, etc., so it will be a while before it does any towing. However, I did mount the tires to make sure everything fit correctly and it did. The only thing I need to do is raise the fenders an inch or two to adjust tire clearance for the new 12" tires in lieu of the old 8" wheels. This was expected and no big deal. Overall, as a first time customer, I am very impressed with the level of personal service and quick response on my questions and order. Next time, I won't waste time looking elsewhere.... 60239

ordered two 4.80X12 tires, two each spindles, bearings and two hubs(2000lb) to upgrade a harbor freight trailer for long distance towing. The E-trailer bearings are made in China, tires are made in US. Tires appear to be about one inch larger in diameter compared to new Harbor Freight tires that came with the trailer package. I have yet to attach the tire/wheel to my trailer, but I must say it is exactly what I was looking for. 4.80, 12", 4 on 4 trailer wheels are not as widely use (it seems) as the 5 bolt wheels so there aren't as many options out there. Tires are fantastic, used them to replace the tires that came on the trailer we got used. Old tires were all dry rotted and we worried about a blow out, the new tires are awesome, drove from MD to NY doing about 60 most of the way hauling about 600lbs of gear. Increasing the size from the 8in wheels the trailer came with to the 12in wheels we bought made a huge difference. Trailer rode nice and smooth, tires wore better than expected. I have a small 1200 lb Harbor Freight Tool trailer. The original bearings blew out and I had to replace the bearings, seal and hub. Went to our local Colorado Springs bearing supply house. I bought the hub, seal, bearings and cap for less that what they charged for one bearing, bought tires too - for less and better quality than what Discount Tire charged. Will be coming back45226
