  • Trailer Tire Recommendation for a 15 Inch Tire Size 7.00 x 15
  • The only 7.00 x 15 tire we carry is a light truck tire, # AM10414, that you referenced. The closest size to a 7.00x15 tire would be a 225/75-15. These tires can fit on a 6 to 7 inch wide rim. But they are a little taller at 28.1 inches versus 27.88 for a 7.00x15. Make sure to use ST trailer tires. The ST in front of the tire sizes indicates Special Trailer. Trailer tires are designed with a thicker side wall to handle more vertical load. An LT is a light truck tire and light truck tires shou

  • ST Rated Tire Recommendation for a 6x12 Enclosed Trailer
  • For a trailer you will want to use tires that are ST rated. P rated,or passenger rated, tires are not designed to carry weight like a trailer does and should not be used on a trailer at all. The sidewalls are constructed differently and will be more prone to blowing out than an ST tire due to excess heat build up. I would recommend you upgrade all of your tires to an ST rated tire such as a Karrier ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire # AM10256. If you do not have a rim for a spare then you cou

  • Dimensional Differences Between 8.25-15 and 7.75-15 Tire Sizes
  • The tire sizes you mention are considered to be obsolete sizes. The 8.25-15 tire would have an 8-1/4 inch width and a diameter around 28-1/2 inches. The 7.75-15 tire would be around 7-3/4 inches wide with an approximate diameter of 27-3/4 inches. The closest modern tire size to the 8.25-15 would be a ST225/75-15, available in bias ply load range D as part # AM1ST96, or in radial load range D as part # AM10256 or load range C as part # AM10251. A ST225/75-15 would be about the same diameter b

  • Load Range Meaning and Replacement Tires for 7-15 Load Range C Trailer Tires
  • The Kenda Light Truck Tire K391M, # AM10414, will work to replace your 7.00-15 load C tires on your utility trailer. The Kenda tires have a load range E rating. The load range refers to the horizontal and sidewall strength of the tire. I have linked an information article on tires for you to check out. The load range C tires that you currently have will have a 6 ply rating and a load pressure of 50 psi. The Kenda tires will have a 10 ply rating and a load pressure of 80 psi. Essentially

  • How to Determine if a Trailer can be Upgraded to a Larger Wheel and Tire
  • You are going to need to know a few things before you will be able to know if you can go to a bigger wheel/tire combination. You will first want to determine how much clearance you have on your trailer to see if you can get fit a bigger wheel/tire. Once you determine how much clearance you have you will need to determine how much bigger you could go. The height of the 4-80-12 tire you have 20.5 inches, the smallest size tire for a 14 inch rim is 26.3 inches which means that the new tire would

  • Will Tire Size 225/75-15 Replace a Size 7.00-15 Tire
  • Based on my research, 7.00-15 tires typically fit a 15 x 5-1/2 inch wheel. The ST225/75R15 tire size will fit on 15 inch diameter rims that are 6, 6-1/2, or 7 inches wide. They will not fit on rims narrower than 6 inches. I recommend checking the width of your rims to determine if the new tires will fit. Another thing to note when moving to a different tire size is fender and frame clearance. The 225/75-15 tires are going to be slightly shorter and wider than your current tires. A 7.00-15 ti
