These trailer tires were a good buy, and they were easy to mount on the rims. They came in a short time, and we are anxious to go camping this summer to try them out!79090

These are replacing an identical set that I had been using on a car trailer for years. The only reason I'm replacing them is that bearing failures caused the tire sidewalls to get scraped on the frame. Otherwise, they are an excellent tire.23318

I highly recommend this company. The entire process was very easy and painless. I did a Google search, selected this company, went through the process to find the tires I needed and ordered them. The site is very intuitive. It's also very reassuring that the company sends you emails with the status of your order. 79662

Ask the Experts about this Kenda Tires and Wheels

  • Tire Blowouts on a 20 Ft. Boat and Trailer with 5.30-12 Load Range C Tires
  • Most trailer tire blow-outs are due to heat build up from an under-inflated tire. Trailer tires have a thicker side wall and when under inflated the thicker side wall generates more heat faster and can cause the tire to fail. You should always inflate a trailer tire to the max psi rating indicated on the tire. Always use tires rated for trailer use. They will have an ST in front of the size. I have linked an FAQ on trailer tires.

  • Will The Kenda 5.30-12 Bias Tire, # AM10066, Replace A 4.80-12 Tire On A 4 Inch Wide Wheel
  • The Kenda K353 Bias Trailer Tire - 5.30-12 - Load Range C, # AM10066, will fit a 4 inch wide wheel. You will want to check clearances on your trailer to make sure the taller and wider tire will fit. The 5.30-12 tire size will be 1-1/4 inches taller in overall diameter and 3/4 inch wider.

  • How Much Taller is a 5.30-12 Trailer Tire Compared to a 4.80-12 Trailer Tire
  • For a 4.80-12 trailer tire, the overall diameter or height is 20.5 inches. For a 5.30-12 it is 21.9 inches. That is a difference of 1.4 inches but you will only see half of that, 0.7 inches, in added height. Please keep in mind that going to a taller tire will raise the center of gravity of the trailer and can lead to the increased likelihood of sway. Going up 0.7 inches may not be much of a factor but you will just need to be aware of the possibility. Also, the 5.30 tire will be 1/2 inch
