The old Kendra tires on my utility trailer had plenty of tread, but lots of sidewall cracks due to ~ 10 years of UV sunlight damage. If I get ten years out of the new Kendra's, I'll be very satisfied. . . . Why doesn't someone come up with a built-in "sunscreen" for tires? 80544

  • Will A Wider 5.70x8 Tire Size Fit On A Trailer With A 4.80x8 Tire Size
  • The diameter of a 4.80x8 tire is 16.1 inches and the diameter of the 5.70x8 tire is 18.1 inches. The difference in overall diameter is 2 inches. You will want to make sure you have clearance for an extra 2 inches in height. The section width of the 4.80x8 tire is 4.7 inches and the section width of the 5.70x8 tire is 5.8 inches. The difference in overall section width is 1.1 inches. Both of the tires will fit on a 8 inch x 3-3/4 inch wheel. The wheel will have a zero offset, so when you ch

  • Recommendations for Air Pressure and Highway Speeds on a 4.80-8 and 5.70-8 Trailer Tire
  • I would always recommend to inflate the air pressure on the trailer tires to the psi that is indicated on the sidewall of the tire. If you reduce the air pressure you will be reducing the weight that the tire will be able to carry. Trailer tires are rated for maximum load and should be inflated as instructed on the sidewall. When the trailer manufacturer designs that trailer they choose a tire size and load range that can handle the maximum weight capacity of that trailer. All trailer ti

  • 4.00 x 8C Kenda K371 Bias Trailer Tire Recommendation
  • 4.00 x 8 and 4.80 tires are the same size. For your trailer you would want a Kenda K371 Bias Trailer Tire, # AM10004, this should work very well for you since it is the same size tire as what you have now and it is a load range C tire. Its always a good idea to replace trailer tires in pairs on an axle to ensure that you get the same overall tire height for both sides of the trailer. This will keep the trailer as level as possible. There will be tire height variances between tire companies ev
