Today on our 2013 Chevrolet Silverado, we'll be test fitting the Glacier Snow Cables, part number PW3027C. Now, our vehicle is equipped with 265/70-17 tires. Make sure you check your owner's manual for further instructions about the use of tire chain and traction products. We'll go ahead and lay out our chain flat. We do want to make sure that the hooks of crossed pieces are facing out so that they won't bite into or damage your tires. There's a tag on the chain that will indicate whether it needs to go on the left hand side of the vehicle or the right hand side and it will also show which direction they need to rotate in.
On one end of the cable assembly, you'll find hooks with holes in them where we'll be able to attach the stops that are on the other end of the cable. We'll drape the cable set over our tire and pull it down to the front then we'll slowly roll the vehicle forward, so that we can get the tire on top of the cable and then we can pull the two ends together at the top. We'll feed our stops through the key hole hooks until we get the cables nice and snug. We do want to make sure that we're within one stop from the inboard to the outboard side. Once we have that cable secure, we'll use the tensioning arm to put tension on the cables to make sure they stay snug around our tire and that we can hook that tensioner back on the cable.
That's it for our test fit of the Glacier Snow Cables, part number PW3027C, on our 2013 Chevrolet Silverado with 265/70-17 tires.

By far the worst chains ever. Broke in two places in the first 30 miles I had them on my Xterra.32688
Remember to stay under 30 MPH, or what is specified in the instructions, with tire chains and they should not be driven on exposed concrete or pavement. They must only be used on snow or ice covered roads.

I haven't had the opportunity to use these chains yet, but I expect them to work well--Glacier is a brand that I've used for many years and they've always performed to my expectations.58468
