Today on this 2007 Honda Civic, were going to be test fitting the Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains, part number PW1034. Our tire size is 205/55/16. Now because of the lower clearance on our vehicle, we want to make sure that we use S class-approved tire chains. Make sure to check the owners manual that came with your vehicle for more information about tire chain use. Well be installing the tire chains on our front wheels as these are the drive wheels. Well set the tire chain over the tire and pull it around evenly on both the inboard and outboard side of the tire.
Well make sure that the first cross member is pull down towards making contact with the ground. Then, well slowly roll our vehile forward, so that we can get the connection point up on the top or the front side of the tire where we can easily access it. This tire chain uses a keyhole-and-stop attachment method. On one end of the tire chains, theres a keyhole on either side, on the other end is the loose cable with a series stops crimped to it. Well fit this stops through the keyhole and make sure that were within one stop on either side of the chain.
Once we have the chains centered and attached, well go ahead and secure the excess with the clips. Once youve install the chains, you might want to drive a bit to make sure the chains are properly positioned and tensioned. Its strongly recommended that with these chains, you use the rubber tensioner, part number PW100. Well install the tensioner and make sure our attachment points are as evenly spaced possible. The tensioner helps to keep the chains as tight a possible, so that you can get the best performance with your chains.
Thats it for our test fit of the Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains on our 2012 Honda Civic with tire size 205/55/16.

I've received the chains and they look appropriate. I haven't tried them yet -- waiting for snow in NYC to melt. I bought them for my trips to Vermont, so I won't use them for a while, but they look like what I need. Thanks so much.64322
