Speaker 1: Today on our 2013 Dodge Dart we'll be test fitting a set of the Glacier cable snow tire chains, part number PW1034. Before we get started, we'll lay the chain out flat and make sure there's no kinks, and determine our anchoring points. Up at the top of the chain are our keyhole anchor points. This is where we're going to slide our various stops in to secure the chains around the tire. There's also a pair of clips here, one on either side, that we'll use to secure the access to the cable end. There are hooks that connect the cross pieces of the chain to our cable all the way down. They're bent around the cable and we need to make sure that the sharp edge faces away from the tire and that the smooth edge here on the inside is what makes the contact with the tire.
Finally, at the bottom end of the chains, we have our stops. The stops are crimped onto the cable several increments along the last ends. Well use these to lock into our key loops on the other end of the chain. We'll start with the car, with the wheel turned all the way to the outside. This will help us get around the inside of the tire and make our attachment points on that side.
We'll lay the cable up on top of the tire and make sure it's even between the in-board and out-board side of the tire. Then we'll pull it all the way down until the first cross piece sits at the front lip of the tire where it makes contact with the ground. We'll slowly roll the vehicle forward between 1/2 to 3/4 of a wheel turn. Now we can pull the back side of the chain up and over the top of the tire and feed our stops into the keyhole anchors. We need to make sure that we try to get this as even as possible from the inside to the outside. We need to make sure that we stay within one stop of either side.
We'll hook up the chain loosely at first, and then we'll start moving our anchors incrementally until we get the tire chain to fit snug around the tire. The last thing to do is optional, but strongly recommended. That's the use of the rubber inaudible 0:02:31 tensioners. Weve got part number PW99, we'll use the tensioner to pull out any slack and keep the chain tight around our tire. We'll just set the five anchors evenly around the perimeter of the chain.
That's it for our test fit of the Glacier cable snow tire chains, part number PW1034 on our 2013 Dodge Dart.

I've received the chains and they look appropriate. I haven't tried them yet -- waiting for snow in NYC to melt. I bought them for my trips to Vermont, so I won't use them for a while, but they look like what I need. Thanks so much.64322
