Thule's innovative design makes the CS10 snow chains quick and easy to attach and remove. Once the chain is looped around the tire and the three color-coded connections are made, the patented self-centering, automatic-tensioning system takes over, creating a perfect fit as you drive away. You only need to get out of the car once. To remove the chains, simply pull the external quick-release lever and unwrap the chains from around each tire.
Thule snow chains are handmade in Italy of hardened manganese nickel alloy steel for ultimate durability. The dual-sided, 10-mm-diameter, D-shaped links provide superior traction for excellent grip on snow and ice. For even more traction, specially designed steel bars are integrated into the chains help to break up any ice beneath your tires. And anti-scratch nylon bumpers protect your vehicle's wheel rims.
Included with each pair of chains are mounting instructions, a kneeling mat and a pair of gloves, all packaged in a sturdy, reusable container.

To choose the right snow chains, you must match your tire size. Those measurements can be found on the side of your tire, as shown below.

Today on our 2013 Hyundai Sonata we'll be test fitting a Thule Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains for Passenger Vehicles, part number TH00204100. We'll be test fitting these tire chains on tire size 225/45-18. Now this vehicle is front-wheel drive, so we'll be installing the tire chains on the front set of tires. To begin our test fit, we'll first lay the chains flat out on the ground to undo any kinks or tangles. This will ensure that the tire chain will fit correctly around the tire. Now, starting with the yellow end of the cable, we'll slide it back behind the tire, and bring up the two ends at the 12 o'clock position and hook them together.
We'll then drape the tire chains over the tire. We'll then connect the red hook and link at the 12l position, and proceed to drape the tire chain over the tire, making sure that the hooks are facing outward so that we don't damage the outer wall of the tire. We'll insert the gray cable into the chain tensioning device, then bring down the red hook and hook them together. Now you may want to drive a little bit to make sure that the tire chains stay centered onto the tire, and that the self-tensioning device is working properly. One great feature of these tire chains is its ability to be removed quickly from the tire.
To do this, we'll simply pull down on the small red block to disengage the two hooks at the backside of the tire, and the chain will simply fall off. And that completes today's test fit of the Thule Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains for Passenger Vehicles, part number TH00204100, on our 2013 Hyundai Sonata.

Product installation is a breeze. After reading the poorly written instructions it only took about 5 minutes to do a test fit. Very easy to figure out. I live in Montana and use traditional chains on my trucks. I showed my wife how to install them and she was able to do it in the same amount of time. I would test fit these prior to using in cold snowy weather. As far as quality not sure how they will hold up. Thule used a bunch of plastic parts and a bungy cord for the tensioner. I would not want to drive very far on them. Good for emergency use. That's what I bought them for. 59882

1. eTrailer staff helped with selection of the appropriate product for my car, a VW CC. 2. Delivery was exactly as promised. 3. Follow-up on my less than intelligent questions included their consultation with their technical staff and was simply outstanding. This is an excellent service and product provider. Bob B.6756
