The FatCat 6 carries anything - from fat skis to snowboards with tall bindings - and it does so with style, thanks to the low-profile design and mirror black finish. This locking carrier also fits most crossbar styles, and it installs without tools.
Features:
Specs:
The Yakima FatCat lets you carry all your modern fat skis and snowboards with tall bindings on your roof-rack crossbars - and does it with a stylish mirror black finish and a low-profile design that reduces drag and wind noise.

The FatCat features easy-to-use, tool-free mounting hardware. The rubber-coated stainless steel straps wrap around your crossbars and tighten in place with built-in red knobs.

And if you're using the FatCat on round or square crossbars, swap out the mounting hardware with the included snap-around brackets.

This carrier is easy to load and unload, even when you're wearing thick winter gloves. Simply push the oversize buttons to open the carrier.

The FatCat has super-soft padding on the insides of the arms. This padding gently cradles your skis and snowboards and protects them from scratches and abrasions during transport.

The carrier has a proprietary DoubleJoint hinge system that lets you carry modern fat skis and snowboards. This hinge allows the carrier to expand, creating space for thicker skis and boards.

The FatCat is engineered to hold snowboards with tall bindings using an integrated SkiLift bracket. The bracket unlatches from the bottom of the rack and extends, creating extra space between the FatCat and the mount bracket on the hinged end of the carrier. This is a real advantage when you're carrying several snowboards and one of them must be carried with the bindings facing the vehicle's roof.

The FatCat includes Yakima Same Key System lock cores. These easy-to-access locks secure your skis and snowboards to the carrier and the carrier to your crossbars. And the lock cores can be swapped out to make all your Yakima products keyed alike.

The Yakima ski racks were easy to set up and attach to my Thule roof rack. They are not as solid as I thought they would be with regard to the attachment to the roof rack but are just fine and will work well. I would recommend this product and would purchase it again.64077
