The Pull Top ski and snowboard carrier from Thule offers the ultimate in convenience. It's never been easier to load or unload your skis. Just unlatch the arms of the carrier and rotate the inside lever to activate the telescoping action. The arms will automatically slide out, away from your vehicle, for quick and simple loading and unloading.
To open the carrier, simply push the oversize button on the end of each arm. Because these buttons are large and easy to access, you will have no trouble releasing the arms, even when you are wearing heavy gloves.
In addition to being super convenient, the Pull Top is designed to keep your skis and snowboards safe and secure. The thick, ultra-soft rubber that lines the interiors of the arms is strong enough to effectively grip your cargo, yet it is gentle enough to ensure that your skis and snowboards won't be scratched or scuffed by the carrier. Integrated locks on the arms secure your cargo to the ski rack, deterring theft. The foundation for the arms is a durable, corrosion-resistant aluminum.

This rooftop carrier comes with Thule's premier mounting system, Speed-Link, which uses rubber-coated stainless steel straps that wrap around your crossbars. Simply run each strap beneath the crossbar and hook them to the brackets. Tighten the straps with the turn of a knob and lock them in place, securing the carrier to your roof rack. Speed-Link is a universal mounting system, so it will fit most round, square, aero/elliptical and factory crossbars, including the Thule AeroBlade load bars. And the carrier and mounting system both use Thule's One-Key lock cylinders, so you need to keep track of only one key. If you want, you can even change out the lock cylinders to make all your Thule accessories keyed alike.

Video Transcript for Thule Pull Top Ski and Snowboard Carrier Review
Today we are going to review and demonstrate the Thule Pull Top Ski and Snowboard Carrier part number TH92726. The Pull Top is designed to carry up to 6 pairs of skis or 4 snowboards. It has telescoping arms that make unloading and loading easier. There is an oversize push-button release for the carrier, so that you can operate it even with snow gloves on. The Pull Top features Thules new Speed-Link mounting system. It is their quickest and easiest attachment system for mounting your carrier on top of your crossbars without using any tools. The Pull Top is covered by a limited lifetime warranty. Included with the Pull Top are a total of 4 one key lock cores. There is 2 installed on each half of the carrier. There is one down here at the speed link. This secures the carrier to your vehicle. On the end of the carrier, you will find another lock core here. This lock secures the carrier closed, protecting your skis and snowboards. Here you can also see the large push-button release. The oversize button makes it easy to manipulate the latch even if you have gloves on. 1:05
We already have the other half of the carrier mounted up on our vehicle. So, next, we are going to mount this piece up, and we are going to show you how the Speed-Link system works. We will set the carrier up on top of our load bar. We will get a position where we want it. We will take the Speed-Link strap, pull it around our load bar and hook it back in to our carrier. Once we have got it hooked, all we have to do is tighten this knob, and it will pull our band tight. The band is made out of steel and coated in rubber, so it will protect the finish of your load bar. We will get it snug, move over to the other side, tighten down the other side and then we will come back and tighten this one down firm. 1:46
One of the most handy features of this ski carrier is the slide out function. It is going to make it a lot easier to load your skis and snowboards, especially, if you have got it up on top of the SUV. We will pop the carriers open. We will flip this latch down, and now we can slide the carriers out off the end of our roof. From here we can load our skis and snowboards without having to climb up on top of the vehicle. Once we have the skis loaded we will push the carrier all the way back onto the roof, flip the latches up and close the lids. The rubber pads inside the carrier clamp down firmly but without scratching our skis or snowboards. 2:37
Now that we have everything loaded, we can go ahead and secure everything with the preinstalled one key locks. With the locks on the carrier locked, we cannot push the button and open them. And with the lock down in the Speed-Link clamp, our tightening knob is now locked in place, and we cannot loosen the straps. Next, we are going to take this system on a little road test to see how it performs. The Thule Pull Top is designed to work with all the Thule load bars, round crossbars and factory OEM crossbars. And that does it for the Thule Pull Top Ski and Snowboard Carrier part number TH92726.

- I do not see why you could not use these for fishing rods. Seems like a pretty clever idea to me. The Pull Top Carrier # TH92726 will accommodate thicknesses up to about 1-1/4 inches. The inside portion is constructed of soft rubber that should do a great job of holding the fishing rods in place.
As long as the factory cross bars are not thicker than an inch thick and are not wider than 2 inches, the Pull Top Carrier should work fine for your needs. I have included a link to the instructions
