Don't strain yourself lifting skis and snowboards onto the roof of your vehicle - just add the Thule Tram to your existing dual-arm, hitch-mounted bike rack. This adapter lets you carry up to 6 pairs of skis or 4 snowboards upright on your bike rack, maximizing your carrying capacity.

This adapter installs easily on your bike rack using the existing cradles and rubber straps. The upper arms of the Tram rest in the bike cradles and are held in place with the rubber straps.

The Tram is also anchored to the upright mast of the bike rack with the included U-bolt, bracket, and hand knobs. If you are mounting the Tram to the Thule Spare Me spare-tire-mounted rack, use the included socket head cap screws to anchor the Tram frame to the bike carrier.

The Tram has ultra-soft rubber pads on the hinged arms. These pads help to hold your skis and snowboards in place and protect your gear from scratches and abrasions during transport.

The hinged arms of the carrier open easily with large push buttons. These buttons make the arms easy to operate even when you're wearing gloves. The arms can also be adjusted to carry skis and snowboards with larger bindings. Simply slide the back clip of the hinged arm to the outside setting.

The Tram includes a Thule One-Key lock core on each hinged arm. These locks ensure the security of your skis and snowboards, and they can be swapped out to make all your Thule products keyed alike. You can also use a Thule cable lock (TH538XT- sold separately) to secure the Tram to your hitch-mounted bike rack if your bike rack doesn's have a cable lock built in.

Video Transcript for Thule Tram Ski and Snowboard Carrier Adapter Review
Today, we'll be reviewing the Thule Tram Ski and Snowboard Carrier Adapter for hitch mounted bike racks, part number TH9033. This adapter allows you to carry skis and snowboards on a variety of dual arm hitch mounted bike racks. It has large locking pushpins which make loading easy. It has soft padding which protect your skis and snowboards from getting scratched up. The adapter has two points of easy installation, the first being the cradles of your dual arm bike rack and the other being the mast of the bike rack, which the adapter clamps to. Now, let's go ahead and show you how it's installed.
We'll be using the Thule Apex Bike Carrier for this review. We'll first make sure the straps in the cradles closest to the vehicle are undone. Now, we'll take the tram and set it on top of the bike rack. You'll also want to make sure the clamp point is pressed up against the mast. To ensure this, you may have to make adjustments to the cradles as necessary.
With that done, we can now take the straps and bring them over the tram, securing them topside. Now, we'll move on to the clamp. You'll take these two long bolts and slide them through these holes toward the vehicle. Next, we'll take the clamp plate and fit it to the back of the bolts, tightening it down with the hand knobs. With the tram tightened down, we'll unlock the large push button and open up the arms.
Now, we can lower the skis and snowboard. Once loaded, we'll lock up the arms, and for added security, the Apex Bike Carrier comes with a locking cable as well to secure the tram to the carrier. That will do it for part number TH9033, the Thule Tram Ski and Snowboard Carrier Adapter from Thule.
