Note: If your axle spindles already have permanent, stainless steel surface rings, you do not need this spindle seal system.

Today were going to review part #BB60001. This is the Bearing Buddy Spindle Grease Seal Set. This set will minimize grease leakage and maximize the life of your trailers grease seals by switching to this smooth operating system. The high quality neoprene seals will ride consistently on the greased stainless steel rings for easy, free movement. This will help maintain a smoothly operating grease seal system, it will reduce grease leakage caused by rough seal surfaces, and it lasts longer than your typical grease seals by minimizing wear and tear. This does work with the Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors, which are sold separately.
The Bearing Buddy helps maintain grease pressure, ensuring smooth operation of the ring and the seal. This part is constructed of a high quality durable material that can withstand high pressures. It does include the stainless steel seal rings, includes the O-rings, and includes the neoprene double lip grease seal. The installation instructions are included. This part is made in the USA.
The application for this set is trailer spindles that use the inner bearing with a part number of L44643 and that use the Bearing Buddy models that fit a 1.980 hub bore. The dimensions on the grease seal: The overall outer diameter is 1.980. The inner diameter right here is 1.375. The dimension on the stainless steel seal ring: The overall or outer diameter is 1.375; the inner is 1.002. This kit will include all parts necessary for two hubs.
Basically, they would just go on like that. This would go onto your spindle, and this would replace your grease seal. By using this grease seal set along with your Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors, you can be sure that the seal and the ring will always have adequate grease for fluid operation. The old set of seals were oozing a little so I installed a set of new bearings and stock seals purchased from my local trailer supply store. I took it for a test ride, huge hunks of grease all over the inside of my rims, a real disappointment. Got on the web with etrailer.com, they got the 1.980 Bearing Buddy Grease Seal Set - BB60001 and the Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors - Model 1980A in a few days. It took 45 minutes to read the instructions, install the grease seals and protectors and clean-up. What a great fix! I had to make a 200 mile run that day to pick-up a classic canoe for a customer, not a speck of grease anywhere, clean, clean, clean!!!
