Today were going to show you how the Yakima Q Tower Roof Rack system looks and fits on a 2007 Acura MDX. With our Q Tower already preinstalled to our crossbars, well go ahead and open up our front doors now and then well take the preassembled crossbars and go ahead and set them to position. Next we want to make sure that our front crossbar is set in the correct position on the vehicle and to do that, well take the provided measurement given to us. On this particular vehicle were measuring from the top edge of the windshield to the front edge of the Q Tower and on this vehicle we want that dimension to be 6 inches. Once weve ensured that the front crossbar is the proper distance away from the windshield and also centered on both sides, just go ahead and close the cover on the Q Tower, and thatll lock them into position. Well next move on to the rear crossbar.
The rear crossbar is going to sit in place just like the front one did. To setup the proper spacing or dimension on the rear crossbar, were actually going to measure from center of the front crossbar to the center of the rear crossbar. Now the Yakima Roof Rack system allows for some variance there. You have a minimum spread of 32-inch possible and a maximum spread of 47 inches. This helps to ensure the tightest fit possible for the different types of cargo you might be carrying.
Once youve installed the rear crossbar to the dimension that best suit your needs, go ahead and close the covers on the Q Towers to lock the clips in place. This Yakima Roof Rack System is going to add approximately 3 inches of height from the highest point on your vehicles roofline. With that, that will conclude the review of our Yakima Q Tower Roof Rack System on our 2007 Acura MDX. .

Free delivery that showed up in 3 days!!! Can't beat it. The crossbars with the Control Towers and LandingPad 9 fit perfectly on my Honda Element. Had them installed in about 30 mins. Don't have my cargo box yet and wanted to test strength, so I had my 110lb wife standing on them with no issues (yes, the car was parked). Plan to take a long camping trip next week with a cargo box on top...wife will be in the vehicle:-)52048

Etrailer is great with price and service. They upgraded my shipping for free and they are excellent with follow up emails to make sure I'm satisfied. As for the product, I am surprised with the amount of wind noise with the round Yakima bars. I previously had Barrecrafters on my Land Cruiser and didn't notice noise with them. The only reason I am not giving it an excellent rating is the considerable wind noise that occurs. While we had our luggage carrier atop our car it seemingly imperceptible, however after driving around for a week while on vacation with simply the bars breaking the wind it was quite loud. With that being said they were a breeze to install, aside from having to use allen tool tighten down the fittings. I later discovered that a wratcheting screwdriver with the correct bit size provided for much faster installation and removal. I would definitely recommend for purchase.62262

everything was great, got a day earlier than expected, fit fine, not to hard to install, I would recommend a helper the first time you are trying to get all the adjustments correct, 3 hands are needed at times. I worry a little about the rubber rain seal not working properly, has not been rained on yet. Using it to haul a kayak. Great price compared to local truck accessory store.48689

Just follow the directions and everything will workout. Took me 35 to 40 minutes but I thought I knew what I was doing without directions. Follow the measurements for our vehicle and it works perfect, just remember to order the air deflector to eliminate the wind noise. Always great service and delivery was very fast.39091

Roof rack kit worked perfectly. I tried to find out what kit I needed from the Yakima website but their fit my car function would not load.
