The product is everything and more than I thought. I should have planned more thouroughly. It is much larger than I anticipated and holds more than I thought. It fits and works without any problem. If you have alot of gear, this is the right one for you. I am considering ordering a smaller one. 13 cubic feet is too great for my neeeds, but you never know when that extra space may be necessary35615

Sturdy, durable material. The bottom has a little cushion which is very good and was not described before I ordered. The straps are very simple but sturdy. I especially like that the top lifts, rather than a side or end. Makes it easy to pack and unpack. Also, the top overlaps the zipper and the top overlap attaches with velcro to cover the zipper.28814

Worked like a charm - used on Nissan Juke (without rack) and filled it up with luggage. I also used a rubber mat underneath to prevent scratching. Drove through blizzard yesterday with all the road slop getting on the front of it, and was still dry after a 6 hour drive. For the price this is a great product to give you some extra storage space.62251

The first time I used this the stitching on the zipper overlap tore. the straps are so cheap that I ended up having to purchase a cargo net to cover the entire bag in order to have the security of knowing that it wasn't going to fly off while I was driving down the road. The additional side securing straps were too short to even be used. Would not recommend getting this if you are looking for quality or longevity.57076

I implore everybody, DO NOT BUY THIS BAG! I would like to start off by saying, despite this negative review I am giving, Etrailer.com has incredible customer service, and they basically took care of OR helped me with every problem that I encountered with my Yakima bag. The night before I left for my two month cross country trip, I discovered that the Yakima bag I received was defective. The bag lining was sewed into the plastic teeth part of the zipper, and this prohibited the zipper from closing the bag. I should have immediately returned the bag when I saw the poor quality, but it was the night before the trip, and because I have a Toyota Prius C, my rooftop options were limited. To my relief, Etrailer.com found a retailer within 10 minutes of my house, who had the same bag. They agreed to do an even exchange. (Again, Etrailer.com made all of these arrangements.) We inspected the new bag in the store, and it did not have the same defect. Jump to the second bag. Since this was the start of my trip, we only had two suitcases in the bag, and it was perfectly secured to the top of my car. Within three hours of driving, we heard a noise on the roof. When I pulled over on the shoulder, the seams of the bag literally disintegrated. Upon closer inspection, the seam was only held together by a thin thread and GLUE! The bag literally came apart at the cheaply constructed seams. The weather conditions were perfect; Sunny and 60 degrees. There was no rain, cold, or heat. And again, the bag was brand new, never used, and fell apart for no reason, three hours into the trip. Again, Etrailer.com listened to my rants over the phone, and they handled me with respect, understanding, and empathy. My only complaint is that I was on the road, and I had to find a UPS store to pack and ship my bag back to Etrailer.com. Based on my experience, I simply wanted to throw the piece of crap away! I was told that I would be reimbursed for the shipping, but I would not be compensated for the packing charge. I tried to explain to Etrailer that I was on the road, and I did not have a box, tape, or scissors for packing, but they would not reimburse for packing despite my circumstances. I returned the bag nearly two weeks ago, and I am awaiting the credit from Etrailer. My only reason for writing this review is to make sure that this does not happen to anybody else. To say that this bag is poorly constructed is an understatement. The material is thin, and the seams are mostly secured by a sticky glue (that could be felt after it ripped apart). I am currently two weeks into my trip, and I am without a rooftop carrier. There are two of us, luggage, and a 100 pound dog, all in a Toyota Prius. However, my experience with this bag was so bad, I am afraid to try another brand. I do have pictures to back up this review, but they are not uploading, so I am sending this review without pictures.57063

I searched several web-sites and companies before choosing etrailer. I found etrailer had the best price, and the customer service I expected. The Yakima roof-top cargo bag was delivered when I expected to be delivered, and was very easy to set up on my car. The cargo bag worked great on a move from CA to NM. I highly recommend etrailer, and the Yakima roof top cargo bag.54757

Received it a few days ago so shipping was rather fast. Just opened it But haven't even taken it out of the plastic wrap. I'll be using it for a cross country move at the end of the month, we'll see then how it performs. If it performs great I'll select excellent until then I'm rating good for communication and shipping speed. The only con I have, (personal observation), is etrailer wanting a review even before my receiving or using the product, otherwise I would have marked it between Good and Excellent.51852

  • If your 2008 Subaru Outback Wagon has a roof rack of any kind or a naked roof, I would use # Y07188 or # Y07173. They do not require a roof rack to mount to the vehicle. Regarding the sunroof, depending on where the bag is placed, it may or may not have to set at least part way on the sunroof and you will not be able to open it. No special equipment is needed to mount the bag. If you need to add a roof rack, you can use the link I have provided. Some bags can only be used if the vehicle h

  • Is the Yakima GetOut Roof Mount Cargo Bag Water Proof
  • For something to be considered water proof, it was to be able to be submerged under water for a certain amount of time and keep out all water. That is why we always say that you should place items that cannot get wet inside plastic bags before putting them in the cargo bag.
