This large, multisport cargo basket fits on the roof-rack crossbars, allowing you to carry big loads and mount Yakima accessories. The basket front and rear crossbars serve as mounting points for Yakima bike and boat carriers. The basket accepts any Yakima mount accessory that works with a crossbar spread of 32".
Additional accessories - including Hi-Lift Jack Brackets, Spare Tire Carrier, Light Bracket and Axe/Shovel Brackets - attach directly to the side bars of the cargo basket.

Today we are going to show you the Yakima LoadWarrior roof rack cargo basket. Part number Y07070. The Load Warrior is made out of sturdy galvanized steel and is finished with a powder coat. The Load Warrior is a great way to load extra storage space to any vehicle, for large bulky items like coolers, spare tires, or camping tents. :21
The basket can be locked to your crossbars using the Yakima SKS locking brackets, part number Y07064. The basket has a weight capacity of 140 pounds. Make sure you do not exceed the weight limits of the roof rack or the roof of your vehicle. It is also covered by a lifetime warranty. :41
First we will set the basket on top of the roof rack. Then we will check the front and rear of the vehicle to make sure the basket is nicely centered on our roof rack. We will take our lower bracket and swing it around, underneath our crossbar. From the bottom, we will our T-bolt through the lower half of the bracket and up through the top half. We will take our hand knob and tighten it down just enough to keep our bracket from falling off. We will do the same for the other three brackets around the car. Now that we have all our brackets started, we are going to start tightening everything down. We are going to move from one knob to the other, so our clamps tighten down evenly and our basket is nice and snug on top of the rack. 1:22
Now that we have the basket secure to our roof rack, we can start loading up our gear. To secure your gear you can use things like ratchet straps, cam buckle straps, and cargo nets. That does it for the Yakima LoadWarrior roof rack cargo basket. Part number Y07070.

Almost Fits The Loadwarrior was easy to assemble and place on top of my 2003 Honda Element. Prior to purchase I checked at Yakima website to make sure this would fit on my OEM roof rack. The Yakima site assured me it would fit. The actual fit is somewhat disappointing. The mounting brackets do not land squarely on the roof rack bars and in fact "violate" the installation instructions by having to be shifted either slightly forward or aft of center. Despite the alignment issue the mounting does seem to be secure. The cargo basket looks good and should give us the extra cargo storage we need on our upcoming 1700 mile road trip. eTrailer.com gets high marks in my book for a great price, free shipping, speedy delivery and follow-up after the sale.4342
