Video Transcript for SportRack Nomad Roof Bike Rack Review - 2012 Dodge Charger
Today on this 2012 Dodge Charger, we're going to be test fitting the Sportrack Nomad Roof Mounted Bike Carrier part # ABR611. To mount the carrier up on our vehicle, we'll place the head of a bike rack on top of our frontload bar. We'll fit the U bolts around the underside of our load bar and we'll tighten down with the wing nuts on top. In the rear, we'll fit the rear clamp around our rear load bar and we'll again use the wing nuts to tighten it down. Once we've done that, we're ready to load our bike. First we'll undo the wheel straps sat either end of the bike carrier.
We'll lift up our bike and place it in the tray. We'll then take the arm, lifts it up and secure it around the frame of our bike. With the frame of our bike secured, we can use our wheel straps to tighten down around our frontend rear wheels. With that, our bike's all loaded up and we're ready to get on the road. That does it for our test fit of the Sportack Nomad Roof Mounted Bike Carrier part # ABR611..

- Can 4 Bikes be Carried on the Roof of a Toyota Highlander Using SportRack Nomad Bike Rack
- If the 4 bikes are all the same size, it would be difficult to get all 4 on the roof of your Toyota Highlander. The handle bars would cause you to space the racks apart so much that getting 4 bikes on the roof would be unlikely.
If the bikes are different sizes and you can place them close together then you could possibly get 4 on the roof. Make sure that the crossbar spread is between 24 and 34 inches on center and that the crossbars are no wider than 3-1/2 inches.
