This carrier's steel construction provides lasting toughness and carries up to four bikes. Cushioned cradles on the arm rotate to keep wheels level to the ground, providing improved ground clearance. Additionally, the cradles help provide a scratch-free ride for bikes by using thick kraton vinyl cushioning with large grooves, which prevent bike cables from rubbing on the frame. They also work to prevent bikes from rocking back and forth during transit. The cradles accommodate bikes with up to a 2" diameter frame, and the locking knob allows for a secure and quick unload.

• You may not even need to use an adapter bar when using Swagman XP bike rack # S64940, depending on the frame design of the bikes in question. The cradles can rotate so you can carry the bikes level. As long as the bike frames are 2 inches in diameter or less and are not step-through frames, adapters will not be needed. The RV rating that you see on this rack is related to the fact that is built strong enough to handle the rougher ride that RVs have when compared to passenger vehicles.
