Randy: Hey, guys. It's Randy here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at a replacement screen door striker plate. This is going to be very, very common, found on a lot of different RVs, and it's going to fit at the point here in which our release handle for our screen door meets the jam on our door here. Basically, this is just a plastic piece. It's very common.
Again, like I said, you're going to find this on just about all RVs that have a screen door.We have an exact replacement here for that. We're able to take this one, which is just a little bit more robust, has a little bit stronger texture than what we get off of a standard one when we get it from the manufacturer. And they're just held in place with two screws. You'll need a square bit in most cases. Some of them might be a Phillips bit.
You can see we just need to take these out. Now, for our old one off of there, yup, and replace it with our new one. You can see, the exact same thing there.Now, our holes, center on center, are going to be 1-5/8". So, that can be an easy way for you to confirm whether this is actually going to fit your application or not. And we'll turn it.
We want that flat side to be facing inside. Replace our original screws there, and we'll just get it threaded in. Let's take a look and make sure we've got it squared.You can see those slotted holes. Those are going to allow us to adjust it in and out slightly so we can get the proper fit for our door. Let's check it out there.
There's a little bit of free movement there, so we can move it in a little bit if we want, but I think it's doing a great job. It has our seal slightly compressed all the way around, and I really don't think we'll have any issues with it.This is going to alleviate that problem that we have when this doesn't work, this door can just freely move in and out, and it doesn't give us a whole lot of protection. We don't get protection from the bugs. There's also a latch here on the outside of the screen door. And in most situations, if this striker here isn't there, you're going to just leave it like that, so you're not really going to be able to utilize that screen door. Really nice super easy replacement part, going to get that problem solved for you.

The inner and outer frame came connected. I had no idea how to get them apart until I downloaded and read the installation instructions. After that, installation was a breeze.
The shade is hard to go up and down. This is due to my older RV door being a bit thinner than most current doors. Regardless, I am quite satisfied with this purchase. I am enjoying the ability to see out the door now.

Product is exactly what I need to fix the screen door latch on my Salem By: Forest River 26TBUD. Other than the slight shipping delay from the Manufacturer, perfect shopping experience.

We search several local th dealers looking for the screen door latch for our trailer. Every where we went you had to purchase the entire door latch for $15 or more when all we needed was the connecting piece. Your site had just the part screen door frame striker at an exceptional price. Only drawback was the length of time it took to receive the part his the mail after we purchased it,almost two weeks,otherwise it was an excellent experience dealing with your company.

Little plastic doodad replacement for the cracked doodad that was there before. Performs as advertised.
Pretty dang expensive for a .02 piece of plastic, however.
This sure seems like something i could 3d print for a nickel.
