Note: Not all tunes, features, and monitored parameters are available for all applications. Features and parameters vary depending on year, make, model and engine.

Power Levels

The following power levels are available for most applications.

Stock

This level maintains the factory settings. It will most often be used when you take your Ford F-150 in for maintenance or emissions testing. This tune does not alter your engine's computer or settings in any way.

Tow

As expected, this tune is designed for towing applications. Select this option to optimize your engine and transmission performance so that you can maintain your speed and take hills with ease, even with the extra weight you're hauling.

Extreme

With this level, you'll get all the horsepower and torque you need to ensure the best performance for your Ford F-150. Take your truck out on the open road and feel the power, or hit the racetrack to show off what your newly tuned engine is capable of.

Economy

By choosing this level, you turn your Ford F-150 into a fuel-efficient machine, allowing you to maximize fuel economy with the push of a button.

Monitoring Your Engine

The EvoHT, like many tuners, has data-logging capabilities. When this performance product is plugged in, you can read and clear diagnostic trouble codes so that you no longer have to take your Ford F-150 in for just a "check engine" light. You can also capture and log 0-to-60 and 1/4-mile performance times.

Advanced tuning options are included with the EvoHT as well. Aside from the different power levels, you can choose various features to improve the ride and performance of your Ford F-150. The factory speedometer can be recalibrated to correct for different tire sizes, giving you the most accurate reading. Optimize transmission shift points and pressure for ultimate drivability and firm, aggressive shifting. And if you're in this for extreme power, raise the stock speed limiter so that your Ford F-150 can live up to its true potential.

The service of e-trailer has been great, and once programmed the device seems to be good (I am yet to put many miles on the truck to see if it does as advertised). The problem with the device is the upgrade software. It took me more than 8 hours to finally get the device upgraded. The design of the software leaves a lot to be desired and the device kept timing out during the upgrade process that rendered the device useless and required a complete restart of the upgrade process. If you buy the device and decide to upgrade it as suggested then you need to have high speed internet, turn off all virus and firewall protection, and be patient because the software does not respond quickly and sucks up all of the computer resources so don't do anything else during the upgrade process. This is no fault with etrailer who were better than responsive in getting the order out and delivered. 103552

If I would have known that when I wanted performance and or heavy towing I was going to have to use 91 octane, I might not have purchased the product..... I can't decide if its worth the extra cost of 91 octane gas..... 149894

This requires specific programmers with the proper tune that are compatible with California vehicles and their equipment. • Why Does the Edge EVO HT Programmer part # EP16030 Say it Needs to Be Updated
  • It sounds like the EVO HT Programmer part # EP16030 does not have the necessary files to program your Avalanche and it needs to be updated before it can program your vehicle. This is a fairly common issue and once you complete the update the programmer will be good to go. For instructions on how to do this refer to the "Getting Started" portion of the installation instructions I attached for this product.
