Why should you be forced to accept the stock options that your engine has to offer simply because it doesn't run on diesel? Now you can easily tune your gas engine and monitor vital data. The Triple Dog Gauge Tuner has a full-color, customizable screen that lets you monitor up to four different parameters at once. In addition to these parameters, the screen also features a large display that can be customized to show one of three different gauge styles (analog, analog with mini-graph, or full graph) or the Driving Coach display.

Engine Tuning

Choose from three power levels to custom tune your engine. Note: Damage can result when using the Premium level with engines that do not run on high-octane fuel.

Monitoring Your Engine

The GT tuner lets you monitor more than fifteen different parameters so that you can be aware of the function and performance of your Chevrolet Camaro at all times. Set parameters quickly and easily through the Gauge Setup Menu. Note: Not all of the following are available for all applications.

  • Real-time fuel economy
  • Average fuel economy
  • Trip fuel economy
  • Engine load - no load = 0 percent; maximum load capacity = 100 percent
  • Coolant temperature
  • Fuel pressure
  • Manifold absolute pressure
  • Engine RPM
  • Speed (mph or kph)
  • Timing position
  • Intake temperature - at point where OEM sensor is installed within air intake stream
  • Mass airflow (grams/second) - amount of air entering air intake stream
  • Throttle position - idle position = 0 percent; full throttle = 100 percent
  • Fuel level
  • Battery voltage
  • Ambient air temperature
  • Air fuel ratio

You can monitor up to four parameters at a time, with each displayed along the left side of your screen. To view detailed information about any one of those factors, touch the button next to it, and the large gauge area on the right will display the information for that parameter.

Maximize Fuel Economy

Running the Driving Coach program turns your gauge display into an information hub for tracking your fuel economy. Monitoring the information presented here will give you a good indication of how your driving habits affect your fuel economy and overall engine performance.

Bully Dog Driving Coach Display

The Instant Fuel Economy graph shows real-time gas usage. This can be displayed in either miles per gallon or kilometers per liter. The Wasted Energy graph shows your acceleration and deceleration in relation to a base centerline. The centerline represents zero wasted energy. If you accelerate or decelerate too quickly, a color bar will extend out from the centerline, so you can see how much energy that move just cost you.

The Report Card graph indicates your overall engine performance and fuel economy, and it ranges from "A" for optimal performance to "Epic Fail," indicating the need for a tune-up, as well as a change in driving habits.

Bully Dog Driving Coach Report Card

If you're not interested in fuel economy and are really only in this for the extra horsepower and torque, you can remove the Driving Coach from your monitor and instead view a large gauge of any chosen data.

Special Features for Chevy and GM

The Triple Dog GT has several features that are unique to Chevy and GM applications. Adjust shift firmness and shift points to optimize your Chevrolet Camaro's performance. By downloading the transmission firmness feature, you can increase the pressure in your automatic transmission to create more solid-feeling shifting and to help reduce slippage. You can also calibrate your speedometer to correct for tire sizes ranging from 25 inches to 45 inches. The speed limit setting on your Chevrolet Camaro can be raised as well. Note: These features may not be available for all models and years.

I purchased the bully dog gt tuner new for my 2011 Chevy Silverado 5.3 engine,,, I just recently sold the 2011 Silverado and purchased a 2014 Chevy Silverado w5.3 engine,, can I use the same programmer on the new truck without problems to truck or programmer?

Both the 2011 and 2014 Silverados with 5.3L V8 use the Bully Dog GT number 40415. When a tuner flashes a program onto a truck, that programmer and truck become married. This is to prevent accidentally overwriting the saved stock file that is moved from the truck to the tunner when you first flash the new performance tune. A tuner can only store one stock file at a time. If you returned the 2011 truck back to the stock tune before you sold it then you should be able to use it on the 2014. If you are not sure whether or not you returned to stock, or you know that you did not, you can contact Bully Dog to reset the tuner but there is a fee involved typically to do so.

Review from a similar Bully Dog Triple Dog GT in Performance Chip

Bought this product for my 06 ford f-250 with the 5.4 3v triton. Just recently installed a k&n cold air intake before the bully dog and wow the power gain was crazy. Didn't notice much mpg gain but after I installed the Bully dog that went up. Wasn't a ton of power gain from the bully dog but I noticed the mileage went from getting 12 to 15-16. Makes a huge difference in the long run. All the differenct gauges you can look at are very handy for monitoring your truck and what its doing and temps everything is at. I would recommend this product to anybody that is looking for more the mpg gain than the power. I just didn't really notice it because I just put the cold air on before. Also e trailer is an awesome place to order from fast shipping and great communication. Highly recommended!! Thanks! 146557

Review from a similar Bully Dog Triple Dog GT in Performance Chip

I would give this an excellent but the power cord had a loose connection on the positive side, it took a while to figure it out with an ohm meter. I went to Radio Shack and bought a power adapter for a cell phone $17, as I was on the road and had no soldering iron. I am amazed that you can get more power and better fuel economy at the same time. I made the same trip with the same load from Florida to Maine with about a five mpg increase and no need to be in the right hand lane going up the mountains. I am impressed! 82217
