  • I spoke with my contact at CIPA about the problem you are having with the Hot Spot Mirror, # 49403. She stated that what you can use is some double-sided 3M tape. This is basically the same thing used on the mirrors and may actually be a little stronger. Make sure that before putting the tape on the back of the hot spot mirror that you remove the old pad completely, clean it with rubbing alcohol, and allow it to dry. Do the same for the surface you want to attach the mirror to.

  • To remove the Hot Spot Mirror # 49403 you could take floss and put it behind the mirror surface and then work the floss back and forth putting pressure on the adhesive, like you were flossing your teeth, until you have worked through all the adhesive and the mirror comes off. To remove the adhesive residue from the mirror there are a few different methods. You could use alcohol, wd40 or cooking oil on the adhesive and then scrub it till it all comes off.
