Today were going to review the Wheel Club part number WI490. Were going to start off our review by installing it on our trailer wheel very easy to do. Well go ahead and take the red part of the Wheel Club and put it on one side of the tire. Well spread apart as far as possible and push it towards the center. Then well take the silver part and well go ahead and slide it from the other side of the tire and into the slot and through the lock. Well push as far as we can together and then well push down on lock cylinder to lock it into place.
Then well go ahead and put the cover in. Thats all it takes to install the Wheel Club and lets go over some features and some specs. First off, this is made from weather resistant galvanized steel. As you can see here, its easy to use and also provides a very visible theft deterrent. Now the key lock also has a weather guard to help protect it from the elements.
The Wheel Club is designed to work with rim sizes from 13 inches to 16 inches. Or this will work with tire diameters of up to 20 inches and 9 inches wide. Also, when its not being used you can see how it folds flat. Now well go ahead and show you how the wheel lock works. You can see how we having pushed down our wheel cylinder and see the pin go through.
So when the silver part is pushed through it goes through one of the openings and then locks it in place so it cannot be removed. With that, that will finish it for our review of part number WI490 the Wheel Club.

The product is a little tricky to line up the lock holes on install and difficult to remove the lock arm on disassembly. Otherwise, I think the unit will do a good job.36590

Etrailer is an excellent company to deal with, fast service, fair prices. The Wheel Club leaves one feeling as though he has just ate a good dinner at a nice restaurant, but was not offered any desert or coffee after the meal... All of the companies offering this type of device say you need a plate to cover the lug nuts to prevent removal of the wheel. The plate on this device is too small to be of any use. I was easily able to undo all lugs with a standard craftsman 1/2" drive socket. They need to make the plate big enough to obscure the lugs, this would not add to the cost.The lock itself should be welded to the device. I can't see how it is attached, but I would bet that it is only pressesd in. This device is OK, however I will weld on a bigger plate even if it voids the warranty. I knew it was merely a detterent for theft, but the small plate and light duty lock are elementary at best. I saw this in the add for the product, and yes, I bought it, it will deter a stupid thief, and most are stupid, so I guess I will use it, and just keep a close eye on the trailer.25740

This product is excellent. Easy to install, and easy to remove. It feels and looks tough. Once again, I now have a wheel lock on both wheels of my trailer and feel that my cargo trailer is much more secure. The product is great and the service was great. Thank you.48471
