Works better than a bolt, but would not use for security. Coupling lock would be better, if security is priority,38743
I had one of these locks break from the force of the tow bar not sure if theyre strong enough to use on a tow bar.

We've never heard of this before, so we'd like to gather some information from you. There shouldn't be much force exerted on this lock when it's used in the coupler. If the coupler latch is closed all the way, the force should be on the coupler frame, not on the latch. What tow bar are you using? Is the coupler matched to the size of the ball on your RV? Does the towed vehicle have brake system? Any more information you might have could be helpful.
