I always approach items such as this latch replacement with a bit of concern but this was as advertised. Easy to install and it works perfectly. • All the Pop and Lock assemblies we sell for your 2004 GMC Sierra utilize the factory tail gate handle, that may be why the ones you see do not look like what you have. Since the latch handle and everything appears factory like the # PAL1700 I am going to assume you need the power model available for your vehicle. For that you would want the part # PAL8110. You will still need a factory handle since yours is damaged and this does not come with one. You might try a junk yard or an online aucti
