- Deadbolt Spare Tire Lock
- This lock does lock the spare to the spare tire carrier of the vehicle. It keeps it from being removed by using the lock through one of the wheel stud holes and through the spare tire carrier. If you want to attach the wheel to the trailer then you could use a cable lock (see link below). If I can be of further assistance let me know.

- As long as there is an open lug bolt opening in the wheel that has 3/4 inches of clearance behind it on your 2009 Jeep Wrangler Sahara rear mounted spare wheel you will be able to use the Dead Bolt Spare Tire Lock, item # 4324. I have added a photo showing how the lock is attached and the distance from the back of the wheel to the farthest part of the lock.
If the wheel mounting bracket at the back of the Jeep covers all of the bolt holes the Dead Bolt Spare Tire Lock # 4324 will not work.

- The Dead Bolt Spare Tire Lock, # 4324, is designed to block one of the stud holes in the wheel. The adjustable design of the lock will fit rims from 1/4 to 7/8 inches thick so it may be possible to use it to lock a wheel to a spare tire rack of carrier. As long as the thickness of the wheel and rack or carrier are less than 7/8 inches thick, this lock should work to secure the wheel.
