After it has been secured, this Blaylock EZ Lock renders your trailer's Bulldog, Stallion, Superior, or T.E.M. gooseneck coupler inoperable, ensuring peace of mind. Simply position the lock around the base of your coupler, with the narrow end of the lock fitted over the coupler bracket near the handle. Then insert the 3/4" diameter steel pin through the holes in the lock and secure the pin in place with a padlock (sold separately).
For ultimate protection, combine this coupler lock with Blaylock's EZ Lock for gooseneck coupler set screw (BLTL-51-40D - sold separately), which secures your adjustable coupler's inner tube to the outer tube.

Today were going to review part number BLTL-50. This is the Blaylock Easy Lock Gooseneck Coupler Lock. This lock is designed to fit onto the base of your gooseneck trailer coupler and prevent anybody from attaching your gooseneck trailer to their gooseneck ball on their tow vehicle. This will help you fight back against trailer thieves. Its a simple, yet effective way to prevent theft of your gooseneck trailer. It is designed to fit most gooseneck trailers with Bulldog, Stallion, Superior and TEM couplers.
Basically it is an aircraft quality aluminum base, and it comes with a steel three-quarter inch diameter pin. Just to give you a few measurements on this, the overall length is about 12 inches. The widest part of it right here is going to be about seven inches and the overall height is going to be right at about five inches tall. It does come with this three-quarter inch steel diameter pin thats used to lock it onto the coupler. It does require to be used with a padlock.
If youll see on the end of this pin theres a three-eighths inch diameter hole that requires the use of a padlock. We do sell a padlock separately. We recommend the Master Lock padlock, number ML40D, which has a nice hardened steel shackle which is hard to get to with any type of bolt cutters, and it would work perfectly into the pin on this. We also, if you have your padlock already, you can just use this part number. We also sell this lock with this Master Lock padlock included.
It would be part number BLTL-50-40D. Basically the way this is this heavy-duty bracket will secure around your trailers coupler base at the narrow end portion right on here. It will fit over the coupler bracket near the handle on the gooseneck coupler. On this end the two pin hole positions will ensure a tight fit over the coupler. You can also use this lock with the other Blaylock lock, part number BLTL-51, and that lock is the one that would actually lock onto the set screws of the gooseneck coupler to keep anybody from removing the inner tube of your gooseneck coupler.
This part is made in the U.S.A., and I just want to give you a demonstration of this, how it goes on to the base of your gooseneck coupler. What I have over here is an example of an inner tube of a gooseneck coupler. Basically this is the inner tube that slides up into the outer tube of your gooseneck coupler. What this does is basically as Ive mentioned before, you simply position this lock around your base. The narrow end goes around the end near the handle right here on the gooseneck coupler. What you would do is choose the hole position which offer the tightest fit, and basically insert that three-quarter inch diameter pin across the hole. As you can see that would give you the best fit. Where that hole is you would just take your Master Lock. Go ahead and turn it into place, remove the key, and as you can see its locked that pin into place. What that would do is lock this lock over the base of your coupler. This is the part that would go onto your gooseneck ball. With this in place theres no way anybody could get a gooseneck ball up into this coupler. That should do it for review on part number BLTL-50.
