- The Putco PURE High-Performance H4 Halogen Headlight Bulbs # P230004NB that you referenced are dual intensity bulbs meaning there is a high and low beam function for the bulb.
The low beam is 55 watts at 12 volts and the high beam is 60 watts at 12 volts.
Although some people use these bulbs on the street without problems, these bulbs do not meet DOT specs and would technically be illegal because of that.
