The TracRac base rails provide the foundation for this unique, customizable system. No-drill, stake-pocket installation yields securely mounted rails that sit atop your factory side rails. Each rail has three tracks running through it - two along the top and one along the inner edge of your truck-bed rails.

The top T-tracks are used primarily for the ladder rack, which can be adjusted by sliding the bases along the rails. Simply turn the quick-release knob on each rack base until all the bases are loose enough to slide. Once you have the rack in the desired position, retighten the knobs to lock the rack in place. Because the rack section at the front of your truck bed mounts to a different T-track than the one in the rear, the sections can be moved so that they are right next to each other. The result is uninhibited access to your truck bed and improved aerodynamics when you are not using the rack.
Several TracRac accessories are designed to mount in these tracks as well. The base rail tie-downs (TA25100), for example, give you additional cargo-management options. Like other TracRac accessories, these tie-downs can slide across the rails for optimal placement.
The third track on the inner edge of your truck bed allows you to mount accessories such as the TracTonneau truck-bed cover, the sliding cargo divider and the TracBox toolbox. These items can slide freely along this inner track without affecting the movability of the ladder rack or other top-track-mounted accessories.

Included with your TracRac system is the cantilever extension, which attaches to the front crossbar to provide 32 inches of additional length over the cab of your GMC Sierra. With this extension piece mounted you can carry long loads safely and easily. The crossbar of the cantilever extension is constructed in the same fashion as the other TracRac crossbars so that you get the same sturdy, aerodynamic styling throughout.
The sturdy aluminum crossbars on all TracRac truck racks feature integrated slots for mounting and easily adjusting accessories, such as the included load stops. These slots appear on both the top and bottom of the bars for the ultimate in mounting versatility. Like the pieces that mount in the base rails, these accessories also have quick-release knobs that let you loosen and tighten them with a mere twist of a knob so that they can be positioned as needed along the bars.
A built-in trip strip at the front of each crossbar shields the slots from wind, maintaining the aerodynamic quality of the bars and preventing that annoying whistle you often find with slotted bars.

Included with your TracRac G2 are eight tie-down accessories. The four load stops are designed to mount in the slots of the crossbars and slide along them for quick, easy adjustment. These bookend-style pieces help to hold ladders and lumber in place on the crossbars. They also have built-in loops for securing tie-down straps.

The four cleats attach at any of the provided mounting points along the outsides of the upright supports so that you can tie down items that require additional anchoring or that sit in your truck bed.
The TracRac base rails and rack system, as well most TracRac accessories, are constructed of durable, lightweight aluminum. Because aluminum is lighter than steel - the material most often used for truck racks - only a small percentage of your truck's cargo capacity is taken up by the rack itself, enabling you to pack on more weight than you could with a steel system.
Even though aluminum is already rustproof in itself, TracRac has taken the extra step of adding a dual powder coat finish to further protect your rack. The electrostatic powder coat (e-coat) clings to the metal surface better than traditional paint finishes for a more durable covering. The second coat is a clear finish that adds extra shine and protection from scuffs and scratches.

Today were going to take a quick overview of the Tracrac G2 slider Inaudible 00:00:09 rack system with cantilever over the cab extension part number ta21000-02-02. This kit is made up of 3 components, the base rail system that sits along the top of your truck bed, the fighter G2 racks and finally the cantilever extension that goes over the cab of the truck. On top of the base rails, we have our uprights and crossbars that will attach to the base rails and will slide along. To slide the track and reposition it, all we have to do is loosen the hand knobs and the uprights and crossbar slide right along our rails, that way we can set it at whatever spread we need to for whatever ladders or materials were hauling. Once you get your position all you have to do is tighten down the hand knobs and youre ready do go. On each of the 4 uprights, youll find this large tie down where there is enough space where you can hook it ratchet straps or you can rope to help you secure whatever load youre carrying.
On top of the load bars, is your slotted track system that runs the entire line. With the G2 is a set of load stops, hold it in to the load stop is a tie down that you can use with rope or ratchet straps again to help secure whatever load you got on top of the rack system. Again you loosen the hand knob and you can slide the load stop anywhere along the load bar to help you secure your cargo and then youll tighten it down with a hand knob. One of the best features of the Tracrac systems are all the accessories that available to help you further utilize your system. There are plenty of attachments that will help you go inside the base rail or up in the slots on top to help you secure loads.
Theres load stops, anchor points, even ratchet straps that are designed to specifically fir the Tracrac systems. The cantilever extensions attaches to our front crossbar assembly thats just behind the cab of the truck. It has 2 arms that go forward and provide another crossbar that sits over the cab of our pickup. The cantilever extension has added about 32 inches to our ladder rail, that will be great for hauling extra long material of long ladders. The crossbar on the end of our extension has the same track system thats used in the other crossbars so then again you can use any of the anchor points or tie down systems that you use on the rest of your ladder rack.
And that does it for our overview for the tracrac G2 slider with cantilever over the cab extension ladder rack system, part number ta21000-02-02.
