Hidden Ladder Rack

The Invis-A-Rack can be folded down when you want it out of the way. The uprights for the ladder rack fold at the hinges and store inside the built-in bed rail cases.

This erector-set-like versatility makes it easy to adjust the rack on the go. You can fold down just the tailgate-end rack supports to make it easier to load your truck bed, and then put them back up to strap a load onto the rack. This is also a great system if you need a ladder rack but still want to use your fifth-wheel or gooseneck hitch for towing. Just fold down the rear uprights, and you can easily hook up your trailer. Worried about clearance while turning? Fold down the section of rack near the cab as well to give your trailer all the room it needs.

Bed-Rail-Mounted Storage Cases

The black storage cases complement your vehicle's trim and allow your ladder rack to virtually disappear into the truck bed rails when stored. Each case has a small storage box built into the middle. Pack your bungee cords and tie-down straps into the 2 boxes so you'll always have them on hand when you need to secure a load.

No one wants to think about work during their time off. With the Invis-A-Rack, it takes just moments to leave your workday behind when you head out for a night on the town. Simply fold down the rack and store it away.

Strong, Versatile Truck Bed Ladder Rack

When raised, this pop-up rack lets you transport ladders, lumber, and other long equipment to your job site.

Invis a Rack carrying canoe

Or you can take the day off and strap on a kayak, canoe, or hunting equipment using special mounting accessories (sold separately). With a 500-lb capacity, this rack hauls plenty of gear for work or play.

Better Fuel Economy

Ladder racks are great when you need to haul your equipment, but they're not so great when they sit unused on your truck, acting as a bulky windbreak that costs you at the gas pump. But the Invis-A-Rack stores quickly when you don't need it, so it reduces the added fuel cost that comes from carrying a permanently raised ladder rack. And because it is constructed of lightweight aluminum, this sturdy rack boosts your hauling ability without adding a lot of gas-sucking weight to your truck.

Quick, Easy, No-Drill Installation

Installing the rack is as simple as using it. Attach the included 1/8" thick foam strips to the bottom of each storage case to provide a cushion between the storage units and your truck bed rails. Then mount the storage boxes to your vehicle's bed rails with the 8 included heavy-duty clamps. One person can install the rack in about 10 minutes. An Invis-A-Rack makes your life easier from start to finish.

Video Transcript for DeeZee Invis-A-Rack Folding Ladder Rack Installation

Today I'll be install the Invis-a-Rack Folding Ladder Rack part number dz951600. This rack is easy to install and requires no drilling. We'll begin our installation on the drivers side part of the bedrail. We'll start off by installing the rubber pad on the first part of the ladder rack. For todays demonstration purposes we will not be actually installing the pad onto the ladder rack. After doing so, we'll set the front part of the ladder rack onto the bedrail. Notice that the lip of the ladder rack slides down on the inside of the bedrail.

We'll then push it up all the way to the front part of the truck bed. Once this first part of the ladder rack is in position, we'll insert the black plastic cap to the end of the front part of the ladder rack.Next we'll slide the bungee box onto the plastic cap. We'll then install the second plastic cap onto the other end of the bungee box. We'll then place the rear part of the ladder rack and slide that end piece onto the black plastic cap. Now with the ladder rack onto the truck bedrail we'll start by clamping it and securing it to the bedrail.

We'll take the included bolt, thread the nut onto the bolt to the very front head of the nut and then thread the bolt through the bottom of the bracket. After doing so we'll side the grooved part of the bracket into the channel of the ladder rack. We will then repeat these steps for all three of the other brackets. Now will all three of the other brackets into the channel we'll slide them into position along the ladder rack. The front bracket needs to be all the way up, as close to the front of the pick-up truck bed as possible. The second bracket needs to be touching the front part of the ladder in the bungee box.

The third bracket will need to be from the rear part of the ladder rack and the bungee box. The rear bracket, at the rear of the ladder, needs to be as far back on the bedrail as possible, but still staying in the channels of the ladder rack. And now these brackets into position we're ready to tighten down the bolts to secure the ladder rack to the vehicle. The first bracket that we need to tighten is the one closest to the cab of the vehicle. Now with the drivers side part of the ladder rack secured to the vehicle we're ready to repeat these steps for the passengers side. Now that we have our ladder rack installed, we'll show you how to open it up. We'll pull up the first part of the mast and you will notice that it will not open up to a 90 degree.

We'll push in the spring loaded button to allow the first part of the arm to come up. We'll then move over to the passengers side of the front part of the ladder rack and repeat the same process. We'll bring up the mast and swing out the arm. You'll then notice on the front drivers side part of the ladder rack there is a button on the horizontal arm. We'll push in the button to allow the extended piece to come out to secure our passenger side of the ladder rack. We'll now repeat these steps for the rear part of the ladder rack towards the tail gate. We'll go ahead and load up some gear and show you how it looks driving down the road. And that completes part number dz951600 of the Invis-a-Rack Folding Ladder Rack.
