I just received our rack. Assembled it with the the three bolts and lock nuts provided. Just bolting the stem to the rack itself through a channel piece. A handsome rack and the LED lights will look great in it. It is four stars because the bolts are too small for the install. I think they are 1/2" bolts and are too sloppy in the holes provided, causing the rack to pivot around the stem from side to side like a teeter ride. So the bolts are too small AND the stem is not a tight fit into the channel on the rack. I will be correcting the problem with 9/16" x 3" long bolts with washers on outside of channel AND inside the channel between the channel and stem. So hex head, washer, channel leg one, washer, stem, washer, channel leg two, washer, and lock nut. X3 holes, should correct the wobble. Disappointed that it isn't just a bolt and go item as I would have expected. 12 bucks in bolts and hardware isn't too bad if the rack preforms as described. still pretty happy.55365

Two parts to put together with three bolts. It couldn't be any easier. I asked the local car shop to torque it for me, not having a torque wrench collection of my own. I will be happy with this carrier. I will get a whisper hitch lock at Home Depot or somewhere and be on my way.42291

Great cargo carrier This is exactly what I was looking for to haul items that I didn't want to carry inside my Ford Escape. The carrier is a one piece design, just bolt on the bar that goes in the hitch and it's ready to go. Also the carrier bag was a great bonus! I've used etrailer in the past and they are top notch. The 20x48 Cargo Carrier for 1-1/4 inch (Class II Only) Trailer Hitches - One Piece Design, # 63154, comes welded together, so only the shank needs to be bolted on. Plus, the welded carrier is more sturdy than the bolted model. The 63155 is the same carrier but it requires assembly, bolting together three parts. Although the Tow Ready # 63154 is an excellent cargo carrier, it is only compatible with a Class II receiver, not the Class I receiver on your Civic.
