Today we are going to demonstrate Rage part number SMC600, it is a single motorcycle carrier. The features of this carrier is it has four tie down points, it comes with the extra long ramp for loading the motorcycle. This product fits in a two inch receiver and has a max weight of 500 pounds. Another nice benefit of this ramp is the wheel chocks located up here. So when you role your motorcycle on top, the chock will turn over and hold the front tire in place which is really handy for stability purposes. This product is also made of solid steel construction, and has an anti-tilt mechanism which keeps it sturdy on the rear of your vehicle. The main ramp is made of aluminum. The ramp which will lay here for the loading of the motorcycle is made of steel. I guess we will load the motorcycle. 1:27
We are going to remove the ramp here, there are two wing nuts, one on the back and the other on the front. Now take the ramp off and set it into place. You can see here there is a pin the slides into the rear here of the carrier. There is a hole you simply slide it into place and it will help lock the ramp into place while you are loading up the bike. We will go ahead and load the bike now. Now that we have the bike on the ramp you can see here the front wheel chock is holding the tire into place. The front wheel chock has multiple attachment points for varying sizes of tires. Now that the bike is up here we will strap it down. You have an attachment point right here, then find a secure point on the bike. Now that we have this side done we will move on to the other side which has two attachment points. That would be if you want to attach an auxiliary strap around the back somehow. Now that we are secure we will place the ramp back onto the carrier. It slides onto the back here and then you put the wing nuts back into place.
