- Recommendations for Transporting a Yamaha VStar Custom 650 Motorcycle
- You should be able to use the Trailer Hitch Mounted Dirt Bike Carrier, item # RHDC1, for your Yamaha VStar Custom 650 that weighs 513 pounds, as long as the vehicle tongue weight capacity and the hitch tongue weight capacity is over 628 pounds. 628 pounds is the weight of the bike added to the weight of the carrier. You will also need to take into account the weight of any cargo loaded behind the rear axle of the vehicle when figuring tongue weight.

- Availability of a Hand Crank Motorcycle Carrier to fit the Rear of a Gas RV
- To haul a motorcycle on the rear of an RV I would have the Blue Ox Motorcycle Carrier I for Motor Homes, part # SC2000. This motorcycle carrier does not have the hand crank to lower the bike. It will use a loading ramp to get the bike onto the carrier. It also requires two 6 inch long receiver tubes to be welded to the frame of the RV. I am including a link to the installation instructions on the Blue Ox motorcycle carrier.

- Blue Ox Motorcycle Carrier Recommendation for Transporting a Scooter on a 2008 Winnebago
- We have a motorcycle carrier that is designed for use on RVs and motorhomes, but the Oldenkamp Hitch Cargo Carrier # RHDC1 is not designed for the rougher ride that is at the rear of an RV or motorhome.
The Blue Ox Motorcycle Carrier I for Motor Homes # SC2000 would be the one you would want. This carrier is designed for use on an RV or a motorhome and should work well for you. I attached installation instructions for you to check out also.

- Recommendations for Carrying 2 Motorcycles at the Rear of a Arista Holiday Rambler Motorhome
- The best possible solution I can offer you is to get a Blue Ox SportCarrier I # SC2100. This carrier is the only carrier rated to carry more than one motorcycle on the back of an RV. You will need to make sure that the vehicle frame extends back to the rear of the motorhome, welded-on extensions will not support the weight.
To make loading of the motorcycles easier you will also need to get a Ramp Kit for Blue Ox SportCarrier # SC9023.
The capacity of this carrier is 1,000 lbs, so you will

- Can Trailer Hitch Mounted Dirt Bike Carrier, # RHDC1, be Used Behind a Motor Home
- There are only certain products that can be used behind a motor home. Like you have stated the Trailer Hitch Mounted Dirt Bike Carrier, # RHDC1, cannot be used for this application. The problem is that on the back of a motor home there is significantly more bouncing and jarring because of the extended distance from the rear axle to the back of the vehicle. This translates into significantly more stress on the carrier that it is not designed for.
The Ultra-Fab carrier, # UF48-979033, can be us

- Recommended Carrier to Transport Scooter on Rear of 2000 Winnebago Rialta
- The majority of the lower cost motorcycle carriers we offer are not intended for use on the rear of a motorhome or RV.
On a typical RV, there is a greater distance between the rear axle and the rear bumper than what you would see on a regular passenger vehicle. This distance would cause a hitch mounted accessory to experience quite a bit of bouncing (remember sitting in the back seat of the school bus when it went over a large bump?).
However, Ultra-Fab assures me that their # UF48-979033

- Trailer Hitch Mount Cargo Carrier for Use with a 1998 Winnebago Rialta Motor Home
- For a motorcycle carrier for use behind a motor home you can use # UF48-979033. It does not fold or have a raised shank but it is the only one of this type of carrier that you can use behind a motor home. Folding items are not recommended behind RVs and trailers because of the extra movement at the back, like being at the back of a school bus. The places where carriers fold is a possible point of weakness and the extra bouncing at the back of an RV could cause a folding carrier to fail.
