Today well be reviewing the Pro Series 48 x 32 inch Gearcage Extra Large Cargo Carrier for two inch hitches, part number 5800200. Weve already pre-assembled our cargo carrier so well start by installing it into our vehicle. Well take the shaft of the carrier, slide it into the hitch receiver and line up our hitch pin holes. Well take the included silent hitch pin and thread it into the hitch pin hole and tighten it down with the included wrench. Now this 48 inch x 32 inch hitch mounted cargo carrier with side rails has a removable end for easier loading and unloading of larger items. It has a fixed platform design and is constructed of three steel planks which makes it lightweight and durable.
An optional ramp, part number 5800300 sold separately, but is included in the kit which is part number 5801600. The anti-skid tape helps prevent slips when you are moving. The included silent hitch pin reduces the movement and noise of the carrier while the vehicle is in motion. It has a weight capacity of 300 pounds, and comes with a one year warranty. - Does the Ramp on the Gear Cage Scooter Carrier Fold Into the Carrier for Storage
- We have one of these set up in our show room. It will not fold down into the carrier for storage. The hinge design will only allow it to move up to about 90 degrees straight up. I have included a link to a video of this carrier being demonstrated.

- The reason the setup you are suggesting will not work is that the tongue weight will ultimately be far to great at the hitch on the motor home. The extension holding the cargo carrier and, ultimately the Boat, is not made to support the weight of further attachments. Safety becomes a huge consideration.

- Generally speaking laws in your state may vary the carriers do not require lights unless the vehicle tail lights are blocked by the carrier or the gear on them.
