Three-Receiver Hitch

To use the SportLift III, you will need to replace your motor home's factory hitch with one that has three receiver openings. Blue Ox recommends that you use their three-receiver hitch with mounting plates (SC9000 - sold separately). This part requires a certified welder to attach the mounting plates to your motor home's frame. You can then simply bolt on the hitch. If you choose to fabricate a hitch yourself, the two outside openings must be spaced 43 inches apart on center and must measure 2 inches x 2 inches.

With a three-receiver hitch, you can carry heavy loads and still tow your car. The SportLift slides into the two outside receivers, spreading the load over the length of your vehicle's rear axle. This puts less force on your motor home's frame than a factory, single-receiver hitch would. You can flat tow a vehicle while using the SportLift III thanks to its integrated center hitch receiver.

Powered Lift

The OverBilt SportLift III is equipped with an easy-to-operate electric winch that lowers the carrier deck all the way to the ground for the quickest loading possible. The winch has a 12-volt motor that requires a power source in your motor home. Just remove the pull pins from the arm assemblies and let the winch do the rest.

  • We actually carry several motorcycle carriers and I have added a link to them for you. We do not have a trailer hitch mount one that is electric but we do have several with ramps. The Rage PowerSport Aluminum Motorcycle Carrier, # AMC400, is good for 400 pounds. I have included a link to a video review of this carrier for you. My main concern with this is that if you were to try to use it with the extension to clear the camper, it would be unstable and would not be the safest way to carry the

  • Your 2006 Newmar Kountry Coach is a Class A motorhome, so as long as it has a frame that extends back to the rear of the motor home the Blue Ox SportLift III Motorcycle Carrier # SC4200 would be an excellent choice for you to carry your 650 lb motorcycle. You will also need to install a 3-Receiver Hitch for Blue Ox Sport Carriers # SC9000 for the carrier to install onto since it uses a 3 hitch style design.

  • Carrying a Golf Cart with a Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie
  • To carry a golf cart you would use a different carrier, SportCarrier 1, # SC2100. But this requires installation of the 3-receiver hitch # SC9000. However, this hitch and carrier are designed specifically for Class A motor homes only. I recommend a different approach. Take a look at the Blue Ox TailGator Utility Vehicle Hauler, # SC1200. You can use this carrier and still have some room in the bed of the truck. For a ramp kit for this carrier use # SC9023. The other option if you cannot use t
