Blue Ox Hitch Cargo Carrier - SC2100

With a deck wide enough for either a motorcycle or utility vehicle, this specially designed carrier uses a 3-receiver hitch to evenly distribute weight across your RV's rear axle. Flat tow your car with the included hitch extension.

Features:

  • Heavy-duty carrier can hold 2 dirt bikes, a motorcycle, golf cart, ATV, UTV or other cargo up to 1,000 lbs
  • 3-Receiver mount distributes the load evenly over rear of motor home and lets you flat tow up to 5,000 lbs
    • Blue Ox 3-receiver hitch (SC9000 - sold separately) is required
    • Hitch extender ensures proper spacing of tow bar behind carrier
      • Designed for use with tow bars only
  • Deck flips up against rear of motor home for storage
  • Removable tire stop runs along side of deck
  • Loading ramps (SC9023 - sold separately) attach securely to side of carrier for simple loading
    • Ramps store conveniently behind carrier with bracket kit (SC9009 - sold separately)
  • Built-in tie-down points make it easy to secure your load
  • Black powder coated steel construction is durable and rust resistant
  • Made in USA

Specs:

  • 1-Year warranty

Three-Receiver Hitch

To use the SportCarrier, you will need to replace your motor home's factory hitch with one that has three receiver openings. Blue Ox recommends that you use their three-receiver hitch with mounting plates (SC9000 - sold separately). This part requires a certified welder to attach the mounting plates to your motor home's frame. You can then simply bolt on the hitch. If you choose to fabricate a hitch yourself, the two outside openings must be spaced 43 inches apart on center and must measure 2 inches x 2 inches.

With a three-receiver hitch, you can carry heavy loads and still tow your car. The SportCarrier slides into the two outside receivers, spreading the load over the length of your vehicle's rear axle. This puts less force on your motor home's frame than a factory, single-receiver hitch would. The center receiver is left open for towing your car. A hitch extender is included so that you can attach your tow bar without the carrier being in the way.

  • Parts needed to Carry a 2010 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic and Flat Tow a 2002 Pontiac Bonneville
  • There are two options. First, you can install the Blue Ox 3-receiver hitch, # SC9000. Installation of the receiver may require modification of mount plates or fabrication of new mount plates depending on the coach and chassis. Welding the mount plates to the 3 receiver weldment is also required. The receivers should be positioned so that they are between 16 and 18 inches on center from the ground and so that it or the carrier mounted in it does not interfere with the coach bumper body or exhaust
