The NV2 carries two bikes of any size, shape or length simultaneously - including both adult and children's bikes - with sliding cradles. The cradles slide up and down the carrier arms to adjust for varying bike sizes and engage with spring-loaded pins that snap easily into your desired setting. The anti-sway cradles also grip your bike by the wheel rims, not the frame, preventing crimps in your brake lines and wear on the bike paint.
The arms of the NV2 are constructed of lightweight aluminum and converge at a central hub at the base of the carrier. The hub has an easy-to-use trigger that locks the arms into three distinct positions - "Up" for when the rack is not in use, "Angled" for carrying bikes, and "Flat" for access to the rear cargo area.
One of the most distinguishing features of the NV2 is the Rola-patented rotating shank. The shank features both a 1-1/4" end and a 2" end for use with either type of hitch receiver. The shank rotates around a clevis pin and locks into your desired position with a simple pin and clip. This eliminates the need for a hitch adapter.
The lightweight, aluminum arms of the carrier features security loops near the base for use with a cable lock. Simply weave the cable lock (sold separately) through the loops and your bike tires to ensure their safety. The arms also sport large, foam pads that protect your bike from contact with the carrier during transport.

Phone service and responsiveness with Etrailer was excellent; Only beef I have is that the instructions could be more descriptive. Fortunately, the item's box has lots of pictures to go by and I was always good at "color by numbers"! The product design is streamlined and ergonomic.69723

Product is great. Putting it together took awhile as it's easy to confuse the parts, but in the end I got it right. If you buy a pin with a lock to keep it secure on your hitch, buy two of them. The swivel that allows you to switch from a 1.25" to 2" hitch has a pin as well. So you need a pin with a lock for the part that slides into your hitch and you need a pin with a lock for the other end of the swivel. We have a "girls" bike that didn't work on racks that you hang the bike by its frame. This rack uses the tires, so it works great.68255

Perfect for hauling bicycles with different frames. No need for the extra bar to correctly haul a womans bike. The ability to swing the asthma low and out of the way with a single click is great. A very strong and stable rack. Now I have to get rid of my old bike rack to someone that doesn't know this type exists;)43175

The Rola NV2 is just what I needed for my new car. An easy to take on/off bike rack that was light enough and stylish, too. The 3 point holding strategy keeps the bikes well mounted without any swaying or banging. The setup was a cinch, and the straps are easy to secure. I have two suggestions for product improvement. 1. Include a locking mechanism or anti-sway device to eliminate the small amount of play in the arms at the base and at the hitch converter. 2. Include straps long enough for deep dish wheels! Otherwise, this rack rocks.41872

I recently received this product and it was packaged nicely and the instructions were fairly simple to follow. Only trouble I had in assembly was when I was putting on the wheel mount sliders they were a tight fit but was able to overcome with a little WD-40. This rack is well made and sturdy. Very intuitive design for carrying multiple bikes of different sizes and styles which was the selling point for me. I love this rack a great deal which is why I'm angry I can't use it on our Nissan Versa, this rack clearly was only made to be used on SUV, UTE, trucks, etc. anything with ground clearance. Loaded down with only one bike and in the highest setting possible my bike is only 4-5 inches from the ground and rubs coming out of our neighborhood drive way, it could benefit for a riser for cars or maybe more settings as the only ones available are straight up, V shape, and Flat out. Overall a great product and highly recommend it if you have a vehicle with ground clearance already in place. 39241

An excellent product. Initial assembly took some doing as the parts were a very tight fit. Once together they all work great. The bikes are secure and dont move around at all. This is the best rack I have ever used. And the only rack I believe that carries our mountain bikes with out a worry.31904

It arrived undamaged and quicker than expected; out of the box assembly was easy;orienting the bikes on the carrier took only about ten minutes. It appears to be very well made; the true test will be how well the bracket arm switches holdup.27020
