Here is my setup using the items from my two orders, including the two ant-rattle devices. The pictures aren't that great of quality, since I just used my cell phone (my only camera anymore). Everything works perfectly. 10377

  • Dimensions of the 80304 Hitch Adapter, 1-1/4 inch by 10 Inches Long
  • At this time we do not have a dimensional drawing of the Hitch Adapter, 1-1/4 inch to 2 inch - 10 inches Long. I went out to the warehouse and made some measurements for you though and they are as follows. Overall Length 14-5/8 inches Overall Width 2-7/8 inches square (at end of 2 inch receiver opening) Inside Dimension 2 inches square Outside dimension 2-1/2 inches square 1-1/4 inch square shank length 4-3/4 inches (not Hollow, solid) Center of hitch pin hole to end of 1-1/4 inch shank

  • Recommendation for a 1-1/4 Inch Trailer Hitch to a 2 Inch Trailer Hitch Adapter
  • To go from a 1-1/4 receiver to a 2 inch opening, you will need an adapter like the 80304 (for Class II hitches only) like you have referenced or the Hitch Adapter 1-1/4 inch to 2 inch Trailer Hitch Receiver, # HTAD (for Class I or II trailer hitches). I have included a video review of this adapter below. However, the use of an adapter will reduce your trailer hitch tongue weight capacity by 50 percent. Make sure you know the tongue weight capacity of your hitch, divide by 2, and do not go ove

  • Availability of Class III Hitch for 2009 or 2010 Chevy HHR for Mounting a Bike Rack
  • A class I is the only receiver available for the 2009 or 2010 HHR. The frame attachment points on the HHR are not strong enough to withstand the increased tongue weight capacity that a Class III hitch can handle, therefore the manufacturers do not offer them. Mounting the bikes to the roof of the vehicle would be your only option, although getting those heavy bikes up there will not be easy. If your HHR has the factory rack with the crossbars, I would recommend the Thule Prolouge, part # T

  • How Much Clearance do I Need to Put a Folding Bike Rack On my 1995 Jeep Wrangler
  • In order to determine how much distance you would need to be able to fit a folding bike or cargo rack on the back of your Wrangler you would need to measure the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole on your receiver hitch to the furthest point of your spare tire. That distance would be how much distance you would need for clearance to install a folding bike or cargo rack on your 1995 Jeep Wrangler. If you email me back with that measurement I could come up with a folding bike rack or

  • Availability Of An Anti-Rattle Device for Use With A 1-1/4 Inch To 2 Inch Hitch Expander
  • I would recommend the CURT Trailer Hitch Anti-Rattle Kit # F-315. This anti-rattle bracket works on a 1-1/4 inch hitch and when tightened down helps to eliminate the noise and vibration of a hitch accessory inside the trailer hitch. I do not have a hitch expander that has a hollow shank that will fit in a 1-1/4 inch hitch. Also, remember when using a hitch expander it will reduce your trailer hitch tongue weight capacity by 50 percent.

  • A 1-1/4 Inch to 2 Inch Adapter Will Not Fit on a Class I Trailer Hitch
  • A Class I trailer hitch has a little tab pressed into the receiver behind the hitch pin hole. This is so that an accessory designed for a Class II hitch cannot be installed. The reason for this is safety. A Class I hitch can easily be overloaded and the tab prevents items that should not be used from being used. I have included a link to an FAQ article on the hitch Classes for you. A Class I trailer hitch can only carry 2 bikes maximum. The reason for this is the hitch is not designed to hand

  • What Size Trailer Hitch is Available For 2012 Honda Accord
  • None of the hitch manufacturers will make a 2-inch hitch receiver for a 2012 Honda Accord. Most of the 2012 Honda Accords will only have a towing capacity of 1,000 lbs so the vehicle would not be able to use a Class III 2-inch hitch. The frame attachment points on the Accord are not strong enough to withstand the increased weight capacity that a Class III hitch can handle, therefore the manufacturers do not offer them. The hitches that are available for your 2012 Honda Accord will be a Class

  • How to Carry a Power Chair with a 2010 Ford Fusion with a Class I Trailer Hitch
  • All of the trailer hitches for a 2010 Ford Fusion are Class I hitches with a 1-1/4 inch receiver. Class I hitches can only be used with certain accessories that are designed for use in a Class I hitch. In the case of using an adapter, you could do so but the tongue weight capacity of the hitch will be reduced by 50 percent. So the tongue weight capacity of any of the hitches we carry for the Fusion, see link, is 200 pounds. When using an adapter the tongue weight will be reduced to 100 pound
