Replace your existing grease cap with a Bearing Buddy to ensure a safe, easy way to monitor and control the level of grease in your axle hub. To adjust the amount of grease in the hub, use a grease gun to add more through the appropriate fitting. Adding grease moves the Bearing Buddy spring-loaded piston outward 1/8".
The O-ring inside the barrel of the Bearing Buddy maintains a seal from the outside. The interior of the Bearing Buddy is pressurized, preventing water from entering the barrel and diluting the grease.
An automatic pressure-relief feature is built into the Bearing Buddy. When the device is full, grease will seep around the edges of the piston and into the barrel. This prevents overfilling that can damage the inner seal.
You can manually check the grease level in your Bearing Buddy by pressing on the edge of the piston. If you can rock or move the piston, the hub is properly filled.

One of the best internet ordering experiences I have ever had!!!!!!!!!! I use the Bearing Buddies on a 1950's Model WH60, Serial #2 John Deere disc harrow. I know the Bearing Buddy works great and just needed a replacement. etrailer has an easy to navigate site and more trailer parts than one could imagine. Their prices are great too!The customer service received at etrailer.com was STUPENDOUS! I ordered the two new Buddies and within 10 minutes George J. with erailer emailed me and said the parts were in stock and would ship. An hour later I received another e-mail. This one was from Nancy W. She said the order was complete and had shipped. The e-mail provided a tracking number too. I chose the cheapest ship (4.99) and although I live in Washington state the package was received in 2 days. Everything was perfect! I cannot overstate how great etrailer's customer service/communication was. I have never been a recipient of such great service on-line, no joke! Go with etrailer!!!! 16671
