Pop-In Ball

Designed especially for your newer Ford Super Duty, this under-bed gooseneck hitch provides superior towing capability along with a variety of unique features. The included Pop-In ball uses an integrated, easy-to-access lever to activate the ball-bearing locking system, securing the ball in the hitch. Quickly remove the ball using the same lever and get absolute, uninhibited use of your truck bed. Because this hitch installs in Reese's Elite Series under-bed rails, all that you will be left with upon removal of the ball and safety chain loops are the ball hole and the small Power Puck cavities in your truck-bed floor - no rails, no bolts. And the included rails also fit Reese Elite Series and Signature Series fifth-wheel hitches (sold separately) for ultimate towing versatility.

  • Availability of a Combined Elite Series 5th Wheel Hitch and Gooseneck Hitch, 2011 GMC Sierra 3500HD
  • Yes. Reese has created and released a similar product for your 2011 GMC Sierra 3500HD. Take a look at the Elite Series Under-Bed Gooseneck Complete Hitch, # RP30158-68. This is the same set up, designed instead of GM trucks and it will work with the Elite series 5th wheel trailer hitches like # RP30143. I have included a link to the installation details for this installation kit below.

  • Comparing Gooseneck Trailer Hitches for Reese Elite Series Prep Package on a 2011 Ford F-250
  • If you have the factory installed 5th wheel trailer hitch prep package that includes the pop in ball for a gooseneck trailer, it would be best to use it instead of the above bed gooseneck hitch # RP30845. The pop in ball is directly attached to the base rails which are attached to the truck frame which is a more ideal connection than the above bed hitch. But, if you wanted to or needed to use the Reese Elite Series Above-Bed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch, # RP30845, it will fit in the pucks of the

  • 5th Wheel Hitch Recommendation for a 2011 GMC 3500 HD Pulling a 36 Foot RV
  • The Reese Elite Series hitch you referenced is for the Ford trucks, but there is an Elite series hitch and installation kit for your 2011 GMC 3500 HD Dualie, and these are the parts I would recommend for towing a fifth-wheel hitch and allowing full use of your truck bed when needed. The proper installation kit for the 2011 GMC 3500 HD Dualie, is the Under-Bed Rail and Installation Kit, # RP30868. I have added a link to the installation instructions for you to review. • Is there Enough Clearance on a Short Bed Truck to Make Tight Turns with a Gooseneck Trailer
  • With a short bed truck, you may need to go with a gooseneck ball with an offset if there is one available for the hitch you have. This will give you extra clearance when making tight turns. To determine if you can safely make tight turns, there is a formula you can follow. Measure the distance from the center of the gooseneck ball to the back of the truck cab. Call this measurement A. Next, measure the width of the trailer overhang and divide by 2 to get half, measurement B. If A is 4 inches

  • Fifth Wheel Hitch Recommendation for a 2005 Ford F-250 Super Duty Towing a 36 ft Layton Toy Hauler
  • Anytime you have the choice between a gooseneck hitch and a fifth wheel hitch to pull a fifth wheel trailer, I always recommend a fifth wheel hitch. The fifth wheel hitch will provide more clearance between your truck and trailer, especially when making sharp turns with your truck. The fifth wheel hitch will also provide more stability for the truck and trailer when towing. With a fifth wheel hitch, the king pin on the trailer can attach directly to the hitch. With a gooseneck hitch, an adap

  • Gooseneck Trailer Hitches for a 2011 Chevy Silverado Short Bed and 1988 Alperlite Trailer
  • There are numerous gooseneck hitch options depending on the series truck you have (1500, 2500HD, or 3500). I have included a link to the gooseneck hitch main page for your truck. Just select the correct series/bed size combination to see the available options. In terms of clearance issues, some of the hitches can be used with an offset ball to provide a few more inches of clearance. And the shape of many gooseneck trailers (a V-shape at the front) actually helps with clearance on short bed tr

  • How To Determine Clearance on 2003 Ford F-350 Short Bed To Use Fifth Wheel to Gooseneck Adapter
  • Measuring is going to be very important when determining the safest way to tow a fifth wheel trailer with a gooseneck hitch on your 2003 Ford F-350 short bed truck. The first step is to make sure that your fifth wheel trailer can be used with an adapter. Some fifth wheel manufactures state not to. To determine the clearance needed on your 2003 Ford F-350 short bed, you need to take the width of your fifth wheel and divide by two. Then measure from the gooseneck hitch ball in the truck to the
