Easily attach a variety of accessories to the front of your Dodge Ram Pickup with this fully welded, corrosion-resistant trailer hitch receiver. Perfect for winches, spare tire carriers and more.
Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.
Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.
In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

Alright, today it is 2014 RAM 2500. We're going to install part number 65063. Alright so first thing we need to do to get the truck ready is to go ahead and lube these tail hooks. So to do that, we've got to remove these four bolts. We'll do this on each side of the truck. There's a loose nut behind here, it's not weld nut so we'll take a, we'll use an 18 mm wrench so you can get to the back side. Now we'll take our wrench and install it from the bottom to get your nut on this side of the tail hook.
Now we're done with the driver's side, let's going and repeat the same process on the passenger side of the truck. There's a good chance of messing up the edges here, so I was going to use some simple packing tape to protect our edges. Now we can go ahead and install our hitch. Before we install it, we'll go ahead and show you how the hardware works. We got our new bolts and a conical tooth washer. Now set to toe hook first, then it will go through the hitch, then through the bumper structure and the back side will get another conical tooth washer and a nut. Now when you install the conical tooth washers, you always want to make sure of the teeth are facing towards the hitch.
And in this case, towards the tight end hook. And then we have a nut on the backside and that's it. Now, the next set of hands, so go ahead and work the hitch into the opening here. When we saw how we're going to put a couple bolt on each side just to help hold it up. Now it's going to be a tight fit on the inside leaf bolts right here, to install a constitute washer and nut.
Basically we just had to reach your hand up in there and get it started. So now we've got two bolts on top holding the hitch in place and we'll go ahead and go and do same process on the bottom. Now to help us get the nut in that recess spot on the bolts on the inside edge towards the radiator, we'll go ahead and use our 17 mm wrench and some electric tape and we'll use that to hold the nut in place while they thread it in from the outside. All hardware needs to be installed, but holding up the hitch, we'll go ahead and send over the hitch. We got a little bit of left and right movement. Once we're satisfied with the placement we'll go ahead and tighten it down. Once you have your bolts tightened down, then we'll go ahead and torque the bolts down as best finding instructions. With all of the bolts tightened down and torque, we can go ahead and take off the tape.
Alright, and that will finish before we're going to install part number 65063 on our 2014 RAM 2500. .

Haven't yet installed the front mount hitch, but did a test fit and all seemed good. Do not have the factory tow hooks, so had to machine a set of 1/2" plates to strengthen the hitch to what it would be with the factory hooks in place. Will have it installed this week and should work great for my application - front basket to haul campwood when slide in camper is in the bed of the truck. Removal of the lower grille will make the install much easier, as the receiver comes in contact with it, and it appears that it would have to bend for the receiver to fit properly. Easy to remove, only two screws. 199201

This is a nice if not slightly challenging install. As long as you listen to the tips provided, it is a (almost) painless process. Definitely recommend taping the facade to protect the chrome/paint. We don't have a lift, so we had to install the hitch on the ground. My bride provided the extra set of hands, which is almost definitely a must when placing the hitch and getting the bolts lined up. As advertised, the inside bolts are very difficult to access, especially on the driver side. To further complicate this, the nuts are black making them hard to see without good lighting. If we had to do it again, I probably would have listened to some other reviewers that recommend removing the grill to help with accessing the harder-to-reach bolts. Be careful not to let your wrench get in a bind while tightening the bolt as there are several pinch points that may prevent removing the wrench afterward. Also, if you use s socket to hold the nut when tightening, be aware that the new bolts that come with the hitch are longer and require a deep socket to run up tight. This is problematic with a couple of the bolts due to clearance issues. The final product looks great and fills the gap in the front of the bumper nicely. Both functional and tough looking. Anticipated uses include a winch, tow point and engine access step. Once again eTrailer comes through. I continue to be impressed with their proactive and comprehensive approach to educating their customers and seemlessly filling their needs. 202635

Easy to install (with an assortment of sockets, extensions and wrenches). Looks great, barely protrudes beyond the bumper and the tow hooks are even more useable now! Also, the product was eligible for free shipping, 7-10 day, and etrailer upgraded it to 3-5 day for free! One small feature about etrailer that is nice, is that when they send you an email it is from a person, not an auto-mailer! 120025

Draw-Tite is the only way to go. A grate clean look, puts the winch right where it needs to be. Took Steve's W advice & took the grill out & maid it easier to install. Taking tow hooks off was the easy part, Reinstalling A bit tough. What I did to make it easier was to tac weld washers to nuts & used A 3/8 x 17mm deep sock & braker bar to hold in place & screw in from front side. 85030

Read the directions and went to the video to see how they did it. I have a 2015 ram 2500 and had to unhook the bottom of a plastic grille in the way of the back end of the receiver. This pushed the plastic away from the receiver without damaging the plastic grille. It looked too hard to remove the 2 bolts on the top of the grille. used a 2x4 wood to balance the receiver and placed 2 bolts in with the nuts. 6 of the 8 bolts went in fine. The other 2 (1 on each side) I had to hammer in with a brass punch, working them in. After that, the rest was a piece of cake. DO use a torque wrench, it is not an option. The bolts felt funny going in until the end. Even a beginner like me can do this. :) 196648

Very sturdy with thick steel plates and cross channels. The instructions warn about when inserting your draw bar to not go in to far so you dont damage the radiator, however my hitch must be a newer model as they added a steel plate behind the receiver opening to prevent it from being inserted to far. I anticipated on having to do this myself, but was surprised it was already done :) Didn't have to sand, weld, and repaint the hitch now. Hitch came within decent time, think from order till received 4 days? 198668

the front hitch appears to be an excellent product. I have installed the hitch but have yet to use it. The hitch is well made and its dimension fits in the available space, I would have given it the highest rating except it is a real bear to install because the bolts are almost impossible to access to start the nut and to get a wrench on to start the nut and torque. A special tool is required to hold the nut and to access the area. Also the bolt is a smaller dia. then the ones taken off. 119960

Fit perfect and looks great ! The 4 inside nuts wer almost impossible to install .Too much stuff in the way had to pull the grill and still couldn't get a wrench on 2 of them. For a portable winch it's the perfect hight and it hardly sticks out past the bumper not really notisible . Thanks steve 77888

The front-mount receiver hitch got here quickly. I watched the online video before installing it. Very helpful! It fit perfectly and only took about half an hour. The inside bolts were a challenge, but not impossible. It looks great. I plan to use the front hitch when launching my boat in tight places when the camper on the pickup. ETrailer is an awesome website. Great people! 199631

Disassembled truck to install hitch and found that the (8) M10 bolts were missing. Instead of bolts there were (8) 1/2 conical washers of which there is no use. I had to go to our local farm supply and buy grade 8 bolts and nuts. It seems that whoever packaged the hardware doesn't know the difference between bolts and washers. Not a happy camper! The hitch itself looks good. 189486
fits great was not hard to put on took about 15min thanks ,looks good 86753

Bought and installed front hitch in my 2011 Ram 2500, so in case of need I can attach a winch to pull me out of trouble (learned the hard way by not having a front hitch in my SUV, where we would have got out easily if we had one while driving around in a trail back in Utah). Shipping came quickly, instructions were simple and installation video aided nicely. 163529

Good quality receiver...very annoying that Drawtite cheaps out and supplies undersized M10 bolts instead of the OEM stock M12 bolts that are holding the stock tow hooks on. I had to go out and buy 8, 60mm M12 bolts and washers (10.9 grade) for $35.Not a good idea to downsize the hardware which fastens the tow hooks and reciever to a 3500 diesel truck. 203849
Product looks well made by Draw tite. I bought this to install on the front of a Ram 3500 4x4 front. I have not had a chance to install as it, in my case looks like a two person job, and am waiting on a friend to come over to help me out. Etrailer shipped it on time and in good condition. Can't give it 4 stars until it is on the truck. 154287
Fast shipping from these guys! Perfect fit. I would recommend having a impact gun and a long 18mm box end wrench if you don't want it to take hours. Taking my time on a hot Arizona evening it took me little less than an hour to install. Well worth the money and like I said. got it across country in 3 days. Thanks, Jim in Arizona 217428

Need to provide better hardware. Would be nice if black oxide bolts used vs the silver zinc bolts. How bout some American made hardware boys? Putting a bolt in from the back with a grip washer and nuts from the front would make the install a far easier job. Fitment is good and a solid hitch. 126160

Easy to install with the right tools without any modifications on my 2013 Ram 3500. Customer service was excellent with effort made to get me the right product the first time. That other big auto parts mail order place(no names but initials JC) could take some lessons from you folks. 99919
happy with hitch. It was a royal pain to install, you either have to remove front bumper or do as I did and take a dremel tool and cut off wheels and cut the bumper down to allow you to fit hitch. just had to cut away about 1/2 inch on each side where it bolts up. 73445
Watched the vidio, the tape trick really helped out.Taped a piece of kindling to my 17mm wench to make it long enough. Installed by myself in a hour! 175770

Bolts up nice and tight looks awesome having another set of hands would make the install a bit easier but was able to do it alone on the shop floor with no special tools. 173046
