This bolted right up to the frame. I had factory towing hooks so it was just as easy as removing four bolts and replacing them with the included longer bolts. Just need to support the hitch while you start the bolts. It took about forty five minutes. Product was shipped fast and was packaged very well. Good follow up from etrailer.79438

The Draw-Tite Front Mount hitch is exactly what I needed. It is a perfect fit and was relatively easy to install (once I went and purchased an 18mm wrench). Great Item Great product. all the bolt holes lined up perfectly, truly a no drill install. Trimming the fascia was not nessesary on my 2005 2500HD 4x4. (I just wish I would have known that before hand..)1910

Fit well. It took about an hour to install. You really don't have to remove to recovery hooks. Just the bottom and inside bolts.It looks great on my 2005 Chev HD and I didn't have to trim the fascia.1165

Excellent Receiver Very easy to install, less than 20 min to install, I have and aftermaket valance witch had to be trimmed but if you take your time it looks like a professional did the job.131

Can Tow Hooks Be Retained with Draw-Tite Front Mount Hitch 65028 on a 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500/3500
The tow hooks can stay. The hardware that is used to hold the tow hooks in place will be replaced by the hardware that comes with the front mount hitch. I have included a link to the instructions for you to reference.

Does the Receiver Come Out Below the Bumper on a Draw-Tite Front Hitch # 65028 on a 2006 GMC Sierra
I checked out the installation instructions for this Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch # 65028 and it will bolt to the bottom of the frame rail. The hitch opening will come out below the bumper and not through the opening behind your license plate. I attached the installation instructions for you to check out also.

We have not yet had the opportunity to install the Draw-Tite front mount hitch, # 65028, on a vehicle so I do not have pictures I can show you. We do have the instructions and I have included a link to them for you to view. The top of the receiver will be about 1-1/2 inches below the bottom of the front fascia once the hitch is installed.

Front Mount Trailer Hitch that Leaves Tow Hooks on a 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT 4x4 z71
For a 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500HD model, when installing front mount hitch # 65028, the factory tow hooks do not need to be removed. I have included a link to the installation isntructions for you to view. If you have a 1500LD model, the correct hitch is # 65023 and you would not remove the factory tow hooks for this hitch either. In order to determine if the front mount trailer hitch # 650287 will interfere with the plow on the 2002 GMC Sierra 2500HD, you will need to look at the installation instructions for the hitch. I have included a link to them for you. If you compare the places where the hitch needs to mount to the vehicle with where the plow mounts you can determine compatibility. The # 65028 front mounted hitch is the only one we offer to fit a 2000 Chevrolet Suburban 2500. It looks like the hitch opening should end up nearly even with the main face of the bumper. Take a look at the diagram in the instructions link I provided to get a better idea of where the hitch will sit once installed.
